Hi Rajeshwari,

It depends on the college in which you are applying as the selection criteria are different for different colleges. While some of the colleges take the entrance exam, there are few colleges in which admission is done on merit basis.

Top entrance examinations carried out in the country for admission to the course:

  • CET (Common Entrance Test)
  • Guru Govind Indraprastha University Physiotherapy Entrance Exam
  • JIPMER All India Entrance Exam.

Duration: 4 years 6 months inclusive of 6 months compulsory internship.
Eligibility criteria for admission: Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent qualification completed from a recognized university. The candidate should have pursued science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects. A minimum aggregate score of 50% or equivalent CGPA at the 10+2 level (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).

No there is no need for NEET exam as it is only required for MBBS and BDS admission.
For BPT admissions colleges conduct their own entrance test, or sometimes they give you admission according to your 12th percentage.

All the best

To take admission in physiotherapy a student must be secure 55% in it's 12th standard.
Student must passed with 55% aggregate in pcb in 12th standard.
Rest if you want to take admission in government colleges than neet and mhtcet exams are must.
Hope it helps!
