the branches are way different from each other.Pupil should be clear with two things in India before taking engineering. One is branch and other is state (in case of Pvt colleges admission). College doesn't matter to level of student is more indulged in his favourite stream in engineering.
If it comes to CHANDIGARH UNVIERSITY, its way clear that for CSE , there are Lots of students in the departments and there are lots n lots of companies coming to the college for placement purpose , if we compare it to mechanical branch in CU.
So it's better to be selective in concern with the branch .
Chandigarh University is a wonderful place for those who want to study , explore and want to achieve something in their life and career.

Hello
Yes undoubtedly The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers a variety of skill embedded education along with all-round development in the field of industry exposure and core knowledge.
As a creative admirer of mechanical engineering I can say that every engineer has two things in his mind. Firstly how the course chosen by him/her is beneficial to his career growth and secondly how this course helps in Nations growth. Keeping this in mind I would like to say the department here is par excellence considering the above facts.
To turn dreams into reality the university offers a bouquet of opportunities in terms of placements, training and exposure.
And the unique feature of our department here at CU is that it has a dedicated group of experts faculties specially trained for industry oriented training in terms of Soft skills and core knowledge which not only adequately helps in getting placed but also helps to sustain and grow in any environment. The core team of placement cell consists of industry level experts who have a vast knowledge in their acquired fields and are working tirelessly to nurture students as per the ongoing industry requirements.
The department also offers a wide variety of workshops, ranging from basics to advanced level which helps in step by step development of a budding engineer.
And last but not the least The Department of mechanical engineering is always in continuous touch with the noble alumni of our department. This gentle concern offers two things: First this touch offers in the form of strong network to help and guide the juniors for placements as well as industry job offers secondly it also helps juniors as well as existing budding engineers to get latest industrial exposure as well as career guidance
I hope it will help you
Good luck....
