Hello Shalu,
Textile designing is one of the most creative fields in the fashion industry. It is the process of creating designs for woven, printed fabrics or surface ornamented fabrics. Fibre and yarn are the key elements in making a textile design procedure. If you wish to pursue B.Voc, there are a number of universities and colleges in India that offer B.Voc. Some colleges offer this course along with other undergraduate courses. However, unlike the other typical UG courses, the curriculum for this program includes job roles in accordance with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).The course’s curriculum is industry-based and work-integrated.
Specializations offered as part of B.Voc includes:Beauty & Wellness,Food Processing,Hospitality & Tourism,Organic Agriculture,Retail Management,Software Development,Tea Husbandry & Technology,Tourism,Applied Arts,Interior Design,Automobile,Construction Technology,Consumer Electronics,Mobile Communication,Printing & Publication,Power Distribution and Management,Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning. Also, since there is no specialization of Textile designing, I would suggest you to look out for other options. Some of the top insitutes like NIFT have introduced textile designing in their programs. You can pursue UG degree in textiles from these colleges.
