Hi,
The candidates belonging to ST category have a lot many benefits in all the competitive examinations in India.
As for NEET -
The minimum aggregate 12th score required for eligibility is 40% against the 50% required by general category candidates.
The qualifying cut off score is also 40th percentile as against the 50th percentile required by the general category candidates.
7.5% of the total seats in NEET are reserved for the ST category candidates. You can find further details regarding reservations in NEET on the link given below -

Hope this helps.
Good luck.
Hey
ST category has the advantage of scoring less but obviously the cut off of the category matters .
you can get a government college easily by scoring above 300 marks in NEET where as general category need above 550 to get one.
neet eligibility criteria says that only 40% marks are required in 12th to sit for the exam . General category criteria is 50%
so make use of your opportunity don’t waste it.
Good luck!
Hi,
7.5% seats are reserved for the ST students in NEET.
Thanks.
Hi Junaid...
The ST Category have varied advantages over other caste students.
In NEET their cut off marks and qualifing marks are the lowest,This makes them gain a far better rank than other students of different caste.
They get the opportunity to join in a better college easily.
Hope this helps......Thank U
Hello,
As per previous year data, unreserved category candidates had to score at least 119 marks in NEET 2018 in order to get equal to or above the 50th percentile and reserved category candidates have to score at least 96 marks in order to get equal to or above the 40th percentile in NEET.
So one gets a benefit of lower marks to qualify and thus helping them to qualify easily.
I would suggest you to visit the careers360's link which has a detailed explanation of the reservation for NEET.
The link for the same is:https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cut-off
Hope this helps and all the very best!
