    Master of Design (M.Des.) is a 2-year Post-graduate degree in the field of design. The eligibility for the course is a Bachelor’s degree in Design from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks.

    Top Institutes offering this course are:

    • NIFT, Mumbai

    • CEPT University, Ahmedabad

    • IIT, Kanpur

    • Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing.

    The average tuition fee of the course varies from around INR 2,40,000 to 2,60,000 for the whole course. The course is of 2 years and 6 months training included in the course which makes it of total 2 ½ years of course.

    The process of admission to Master of Design is through an entrance examination. This is known as Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED), it is conducted by IIT Mumbai every year.

    The test is designed to test the skills of the candidate like, color sensitiveness, structure, perception, innovation and aptitude towards the discipline. The test is followed by a process of personal interview.
