It is a type of acquired active immunity. Acquired active immunity can be induced by a vaccine, a substance that contains antigen. A vaccine stimulates a primary response against the antigen without causing symptoms of the disease. Artificially acquired active immunity is protection produced by intentional exposure of a person to antigens in a vaccine.
