Forensic science is nothing but applying scientific knowledge in investigations and provide the same evidence to the courts in criminal and other cases. Now when you join as a Forensic scientist, you do not work individually atleast in the initial stages. The court orders them to be sent to a Forensic lab. And a team of scientists and experts work together to find evidence. So as a forensic specialist, you will work on samples of hair, nails, DNA, clothing fragments, blood and other fluids, etc. So there is nothing to be afraid of.
