About ANGRAU Guntur

Acharya NG Ranga Agriculture University was established on March 20, 1965, by the then Prime Minister Late Shri. Lal Bahadur Shastri. ANGRAU is recognized by the University Grants Commission. Initially, this university was established under the name of Andhra Pradesh Agriculture University on June 12, 1964, through the APAU Act in 1963. Eventually, it was renamed as Acharya NG Ranga Agriculture University on November 7, 1996, in memory and honour of noted Parliamentarian and Kisan Leader Acharya N.G. Ranga.

This university is one of the premier educational institutes in the country in the field of Agriculture and Home Science. ANGRAU at present has 5 Agricultural Colleges under Agriculture Faculty, 2 Colleges of Agricultural Engineering and 2 colleges of Food Science and Technology under Agril. Engineering and Technology faculty and 1 College of Home Science under Home Science faculty. In addition to these, the university is running 2 Post Graduate Colleges, i.e., Advanced Post Graduate Centre at Lam, Guntur, and Institute of Agri-Business Management at Tirupati.

The Acharya N.G. Ranga University comes under the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (APAU) and was established on 12 June 1964. Acharya NG Ranga Agriculture University was established on March 20, 1965, by the then Prime Minister Late Shri. Lal Bahadur Shastri. This university is recognized by the University Grants Commission. As this university is not privately owned, it offers scholarships directly issued by the Andhra Pradesh Government. However, most of these scholarship schemes have a common eligibility criteria. The students need to be permanent residents or domicile of Andhra Pradesh.

Pre-Matric Scholarships for Minorities in Andhra Pradesh

College Infrastructure

separate hostels for year wise students in which 3 for boys and 1 for girls and in hostel mess provide fine dining experience. The hostel fee is INR 90,000. .PGs are good but it is easy and safe to stay in the hostel. There are five canteens in our college. .Good quality of classrooms, labs, libraries, dining hall, etc.

I got 14880 rank in eamcet, can i get any seat in government college for agriculture and i belong to obc category

If you have reservation like sc or st then you might have chances better in getting the seat beacuse the seats are very less mean 800 approximately so maintain patience and wait till last round you will get the seat in your preferred college.
