The admissions of Ahmedabad University are offered at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The streams in which these courses are offered are sciences, commerce, engineering & architecture, arts, humanities & social sciences, computer application & IT, management & business administration, medicines & allied sciences and pharmacy. Ahmedabad University admissions to undergraduate and integrated courses except B.Tech are offered on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 exams and the candidates extracurricular achievements, personal statement and personal interaction. Ahmedabad University admissions to postgraduate course is based on a valid GATE score or written test conducted by the university. Ahmedabad University admissions to doctoral courses are offered on the basis of a written test and participation in the personal interview conducted by the university. Candidates with national level fellowships/certificates (CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT etc) are exempted from the written test. They must appear directly for an interview.

Ahmedabad University Admission Process to B.Tech Courses

• Candidates must apply and appear for either JEE Main or GUJCET. 

• Candidates must qualify either JEE Main or GUJCET.

• For GUJCET, candidates must appear for counselling through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) portal. 

• Candidates must choose Ahmedabad University as their preferred institute.

• Eligible candidates are offered admission after seat allotment, document verification and admission fees payment.

Ahmedabad University Admission Process to B.Com/B.Sc/B.A/B.B.A./MS Life Sciences Integrated/M.B.A. Courses

• Candidates must fill the application form on the website of the university.

• Merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the previous qualifying examination and extracurricular achievements.

• Qualifying candidates must appear for personal statement and personal interaction.

• Selected candidates can take admission after paying the admission fees and  getting their documents verified.

Ahmedabad University Admissions to Postgraduate Courses

Ahmedabad University Admission Procedure to M.Tech Data Science and Analytics Course

• Candidates must apply and appear for GATE.

• Candidates must fill the Ahmedabad University application form.

• Candidates without a valid GATE score must appear for a written test conducted by the university.

• Merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in GATE. 

• It must be noted that, in case of vacancy, seats will be filled on the basis of written test scores.

• Shortlisted candidates must get their documents verified and pay the admission fees for final admission.

• Candidates must fill an online application form on the website of the university.

• Candidates must appear for a written test followed by a personal interview.

• It must be noted that, CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/ DST/JEST fellowships and GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the written test.

• Final admissions are offered to the candidates on the basis of the performance in the test and interview.
