The extensive course is designed to offer comprehensive fundamental training in ten different fields of mass communication. These fields include Print Journalism, Television and Radio Production, Advertising and Public Relations, Event Management, Social Media, and Film Studies. The prime objectives of this course are: -To equip students with the knowledge and essential skills required for working in various media organizations with different mass communication apparatuses and varied audiences need. -To instil the knowledge and fundamentals of communication in the students and hone written and spoken communication skills essential for various media platforms. -To encourage critical thinking, research aptitude, ethics and social responsibility related to media in the students. Bachelor of Arts Journalism & Mass Communication course has been created to offer enrolled students Basic journalistic skills in various mass media, to expose students to recent developments in media issues and media research. B.A. Journalism & Mass Communication course also provides professional familiarity with the various technologies involved in mass media like computer applications, respective software and hardware applied in print, radio, television, internet and such forms of media. B.A. Journalism & Mass Communication program is best suited for people who have an aptitude for investigation and reporting of any kind of happenings, issues, trends, and stories around the world to a vast audience through mediums like newspapers, magazines, television, internet, etc.
The candidate should have Pass with 50% (GEN)/40% (SC/ST) aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized borad.
