B. Tech Electrical engineering is the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism for the development and maintenance of electrical and electronics equipment. Electrical Engineering course study includes Circuit analysis, Machines & Drive system, Power System, Control system, Power electronics, Utilization etc. The program focuses on the industrial requirement of Electrical engineering. Students can develop their electrical skills and abilities with the study of this course. Electrical Engineering is spread across a range of specialities such as acoustics, speech, signal processing to electromagnetic compatibility, automobiles to vehicular technology, geoscience and remote sensing, lasers and electro-optics, robotics, ultra-sonic, ferroelectrics and frequency control. Trained electrical engineers design electric circuits and equipment. They work on large power plants as well in small hardware companies which include designing, manufacturing and operating power plants, industrial machinery, electrical motors, computer chips and ignition systems for automobiles, aircraft, space crafts and all kinds of engines. A qualified electrical engineer has the option to choose his/her line of work from a range of areas like computers, cell phones, electronic gadgets, radars, navigation systems, power plant, etc. The program also offers students insights on how to use the latest computer interfacing technologies in instruments laboratory. With a balanced combination of theory and practical, this programme prepares students to skillfully design and test electronic circuits. The course is ideally suited for students who have the ability to quickly understand complex methods and solve intricate problems. It is for individuals who acquire innovative thinking and can find various alternatives to any electrical design.
Admission is based on the JEE-Main Paper 1 Entrance Exam Score.
A candidate must have Pass with 50% (GEN)/ 45% (SC/ST) aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology) subject to valid score in JEE(Main).
For any programme to be recognized for further studies or a profession it needs to be approved either by a university or/and by a professional council as the case may be.
