A 4-year, full-time, residential, dual-degree programme that awards a B.Sc. B.Ed. Degree. This programme prepares you to gain deep disciplinary knowledge in the Sciences as well as a practical and professional degree in Education.

For the Science Major, the students can choose either:                                                           

  • Life Sciences – with courses in Biology, Physics and Chemistry; or                              
  • Physical Sciences – with courses in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or                                   
  • Mathematics – launching in 2019                              

For the Education Major, students would develop:                                    

  • Educational judgement through perspective courses                                   
  • Skills to teach effectively through courses in curriculum and pedagogy                                 
  • A thorough grounding in school practice.                              

The University is uniquely placed as part of the Azim Premji Foundation with its Field Institutes working in the domain of school education at the ground level for the last two decades. The programme design draws in this wealth of experience of field practices and endeavours to make the initial teacher preparation both theoretically rigorous and practically effective.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who completed Class 12 exams in any Indian board with at least 50% marks or the equivalent of Class 12 in any foreign board exam with grades equivalent to at least 50% marks can apply.

Admission Details

The selection process for the Undergraduate Programme include:

1. Entrance Test:

Part A (Multiple Choice) * - Test that will assess the English language capacities and quantitative capacities.

Part B - Written component: Applicants will have to write an essay/ data analysis/ problem solving based on their major preference.

2. Personal Interview:

Shortlisted Candidates will be called for a personal interview.
