The university provides admission to diploma, UG, PG and doctoral programmes. Admission to the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) course is given based on the marks obtained by candidates in the JEE Main. BUEST admission to B.H.M, B.Sc., B.Com, B.Ed., B.Pharma. B.P.T. and B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture is done on the basis of state government entrance examination or BUEST entrance test. The varsity offers merit based admission to B.C.A. programme. As per BUEST admission process, for M.B.A. admissions, CAT/AIMAT/HPCMAT are considered. Candidates need to appear for a personal interview and group discussion as well. The entrance exam is conducted both online and offline by BUEST Baddi. The mode of examination is totally up to the students. The exam will be conducted in English language.
Within two weeks of the exam's completion, the university website will post the program-wise merit lists. Each applicant will receive an official scorecard through email and post. Along with the scorecard, the counselling date will be announced. The MU Admissions Office's decision will be final in the event of any discrepancies in the merit list or scorecards.
The documents that are required during the counselling process while getting into BUEST Baddi are: Self attested passing certificate of Class X, XII; marks sheet of Class X, XII, graduation and post graduation (All semesters/Years); migration/transfer certificate; caste certificate (if claiming reservation); recent passport size colour photographs and two copies of counselling invitation letter.
