The BHU campus is well equipped with facilities and amenities. The campus is spread over  1360 acres and consists of various colleges and departments on the premises. It is one of a kind residential university in the world that houses education institutes from nursery to doctoral and postdoctoral levels, Inside the walled campus. If we talk about Banaras Hindu University facilities, the campus houses several amenities that make it comparable to the best universities in the country. It has A fully functioning library, hostels, auditorium, sports complex, hospital, computer labs and one of the few universities in India to have an airstrip and helipad for training NCC students. 

Students have the opportunity for an all-round development with sports facilities to utilise in their free time. The campus houses a bank and a post office branch for students and faculty residing inside the campus. There is a well-stocked shopping complex for day to day needs of the residents in the campus.

There is also the opportunity to be a part of the National Service Scheme(NSS) and NCC at BHU. The university houses a dedicated helipad and airstrip to train Cadets of the NCC. • The Banaras Hindu University Library: The university library has a collection of about 1,33,792 journals, 9,76,411 books and 406 weekly and monthly journals. With a collection of around 11,000 online journals and 52000 e-books, it is one of the best air-conditioned and equipped cyber libraries in the country. 

• Hostels: With separate hostels for boys and girls, it has a total of around 60 hostel complexes. 41 for boys and 21 girls hostels. International students also have a hostel for studying at The Banaras Hindu University. With all amenities like the water purifier, mess facility, laundry service, recreation room, Tv, Security and surveillance and a common room for students.

• SS Hospital: The campus houses the Sir Sunderlal Hospital inside the campus. A unique hospital practising both Ayurveda and modern medicines, it makes healthcare and other medical facilities available for students. Students and staff can avail healthcare at the hospital at a discounted price. 

• Shopping Centre: The Banaras Hindu University Campus also has a shopping complex available for its residing members. Everything from shopping, eating and books are all available to buy.
