Berhampur University is based in Berhampur, Odisha, India. It is a state-based public university and was established in 1967. It is approved by the UGC and is also accredited with an A grade by the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). The university offers a variety of courses on postgraduate levels. These courses range in three departments namely humanities, science, and business studies. It also offers 28 undergraduate and postgraduate courses in distance learning mode for the ease of students. This is done through the Harihar Mardaraj Distance Education Centre. It also includes many regular programmes and diploma courses.

Step 1: The university has a placement cell that coordinates with the firms to know about the companies that want to visit the campus for on-campus placements. They get the information from the companies about the recruitments that they wish to make.

Step 2: Then the placement cell reverts back that information to the students. Then they prepare the students with it through pre placement talks and mock interviews. In this manner, the students are ready to face the actual situation.

Step 3: The students then submit their resumes and verify their documents. Then they sit for the written tests which are based on their aptitudes and technical knowledge about the subjects.

Step 4: Then, the students who pass the written test go-ahead for the group discussions. The people who pass the group discussions are further called in for the personal interview.

Step 5: On clearance of the interview, the students are provided with an offer letter. They are given the proposal and offered their tentative salaries.
