Sabarmati University, formerly known as Calorx Teachers' University, was established in 2008 as Gujarat's first dual-mode state private university with a prime focus on nurturing skills and interdisciplinary education. The university has been recognized and approved by several governing bodies, including the University Grants Commission (UGC), National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Bar Council of India (BCI), and UGC- NSQF. Additionally, it is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Sabarmati University is Gujarat’s first state private dual mode university situated near Vishno Devi circle, Ahmedabad with prime focus dedicated to nurture skill and interdisciplinary education. Sabarmati university was entitled an esteemed status of state private university in 2009 under state legislature of Gujarat act no: 8 and further amended with act no: 20 in the year 2019.
