Central University of Himachal Pradesh offers admissions at undergraduate, postgraduate diploma and postgraduate levels. Meeting the eligibility criteria is the first step of the CUHP admission process. The university has a common admission process for all UG programmes. The undergraduate programmes offered by the university are B.Sc. (H), B.A. (H), B.F.A., B.Voc. For Central University of Himachal Pradesh admission to the undergraduate programmes, candidates have to fill the university application form. After that, candidates are selected based on merit score of 10+2. 10% weightage is given to the candidates for having passed Prak Shastri Part II or Visharad for B.A. Sanskrit (H) admission. PG diploma, M.B.A, M.S.W., M.A., M.Sc., M.Lib.I.Sc. are the PG programmes offered by the university. As per the Central University of Himachal Pradesh admission procedure for PG programmes, candidates have to appear for the entrance test, FEAT. Further selection of the candidates is based on the marks of the entrance test (50% weightage), class 10 percentage (10% weightage), class 12 percentage (10% weightage), graduation percentage (30% weightage). Finally, to confirm CUHP admission, candidates have to submit the documents and pay the fees.

The university offers B.Sc. (H), B.A. (H), B.F.A., B.Voc. as UG programmes. These are three-year full-time programmes. The general eligibility criteria for the programmes is minimum 50% marks in 10+2, except B.Voc., in which 40% marks in 10+2 is required.

FEAT is Further Education Admission Test. It is an entrance test conducted for admission to the postgraduate programmes.
The university selects candidates for the B.Voc. programme on the basis of merit of the qualifying exam.
The total fees required for the programme is Rs. 27,000.
There are 30 seats available for Central University of Himachal Pradesh admission to the B.Sc. Physics (H) programme.
