Central University of Jammu offers admissions to the diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, postgraduate and Ph.D programmes. Meeting the eligibility criteria is the first step of the Central University of Jammu admission process. The undergraduate and postgraduate programmes have a common admission procedure. According to the Central University of Jammu admission criteria for the diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate diploma and postgraduate programmes, candidates have to appear for CUCET. Candidates who qualify the entrance test and meet the cutoff can participate in the counselling of the university. It must be noted that candidates have to register separately for Central University of Jammu admission counselling. After that, seats will be allotted on the basis of merit. For CU Jammu admission to the Ph.D programme, candidates have to appear for CUCET and secure minimum 50% marks. However, UGC/NET/UGC-CSIR NET/SLET/ GATE/M.Phil qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test. Candidates are selected on the basis of marks of the entrance test (70% weightage) and performance in the interview (30% weightage). After allotment of the seats, the last step is the submission of the documents and payment of fees.

Candidates have to first meet the eligibility criteria.
After that candidates have to appear for CUCET, conducted by central universities.

Ph.D is a six-year full-time programme offered by Central University of Jammu.
