Construction Technology is integral to the development of cities and built environments. Construction Engineers work on many aspects of the construction and implementation of various development projects.
The five–year undergraduate (UG) program in Construction Technology is one of the unique engineering programs in India. The course leads to a degree of Bachelor of Construction Technology. The program equips students with competencies necessary for being effective professional engineers and exposes them to technical, managerial and social dimensions of the built environment. The Bachelor of Construction Technology degree apart from being a choice for a professional career, also opens up many avenues to pursue postgraduate and doctoral studies. For further studies, a construction engineer might further hone his skill by focusing on construction engineering, structural design, infrastructure design or shift to allied professions such as urban planning, management etc.
