CMR University (CMRU) is a state university established in 2013 under the state act 45. The varsity is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). CMRU is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). There are a total of 110 faculty members in the university. With a campus covering an area of 60 acres, the varsity has 8 schools of various disciplines. The varsity offers undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, postgraduate and doctoral levels degrees to students. CMR University offers a total of 71 courses in branches such as engineering, architecture, law etc. 

Some of the popular courses offered by the university are BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, BA, MCom, MSc, MTech etc. It is mandatory for aspiring candidates to meet the eligibility criteria of the courses to pursue it. CMRU offers full time programmes only. Depending upon the course, the university offers merit based and entrance exam based admission. CMR University has tie ups with colleges to provide holistic learning to the students. 

For job and internship opportunities the university has a dedicated placement team. Students who have excellent academic performance and sports achievement are awarded scholarships by the CMR University. CMR University facilities include a well-equipped library, separate hostels for boys and girls, seminar hall, auditorium, spacious classrooms, indoor and outdoor sports etc.

CMRU is located at 2-3rd C Cross, 6th A Main Road, Kalyan Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka. Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru is the nearest airport to the college with a distance of 15.6 km. Yelahanka Junction Railway Station is 9.7 km away and K Narayanapura Main Bus Stand is 8.4 km away from the university.

CMR University Facilities and Infrastructure 

The university campus takes care of students' needs and has all the necessary facilities required to provide optimum teaching and learning environment to students. CMR University campus facilities consist of a well equipped library, laboratories, hostels, labs etc. The library at CMRU has an ample number of books for various subjects. The library also has ebooks and e-journals. The classrooms of CMR University are spacious and ventilated. Each school of the university has its own laboratories. The computer labs of the university are centrally air conditioned and computers have the latest software and fast internet connectivity.

Students coming from other states can make use of CMR University hostel facilities. The university has separate hostels for boys and girls inside the campus only. To aid students, CMR University has sports facilities as well. CMRU sports facilities allow students to refresh their minds. The university has a well-equipped sports complex. CMR University also offers transport facilities to the students and faculty.

CMRU Courses

CMR University courses are offered at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The varsity offers 2 postgraduate diploma, 39 bachelor, 16 masters and 15 doctoral programmes to students. The eligibility criteria for each course is different and determined by the university. CMRU courses are only offered in full time mode. To enrol in the courses offered it is mandatory for students to meet the minimum eligibility criteria.

CMRU Admissions

CMR University provides 71 courses at different levels. There are two ways by which students can take admission in CMRU courses. The university offers admission on the basis of entrance exam score and merit of the last qualifying examination (depending upon the course). CMR University admission to undergraduate courses except BTech and BArch courses is offered on the basis of merit. Whereas, for BTech and BArch admissions candidates need to sit for JEE Main/KCET/COMEDK/CMRUAT and NATA entrance exam respectively.  At postgraduate level, CMRU admission to MTech courses is given based on the candidate's performance in the GATE/PGCET entrance exam. For MBA admission candidates need a valid score in the MAT/CAT/PGCET/KMAT/ATMA/CMRUAT entrance test.

• Once result is out, fill CMRU application form

• Seats are allotted to candidates on the basis of NATA score

• Candidates to whom seats are allotted need to go to the department.

CMR University Scholarships

The varsity offers plenty of scholarships to its students. CMR University scholarships are offered to students who have prolific academic records. CMRU also offers scholarships to students who have been a part of state and national level teams in various sports. Along with sports and merit scholarships the university also recognises students who are productive in academics and sports and also possess good leadership skills. Students are also entitled to various state and national level scholarships. Decision regarding CMR University scholarships is taken by CMR Jnanadhara Trust. To avail the scholarships students must meet the eligibility criteria set by the CMR University. Apart from scholarship, the university also provides financial aid to the students belonging to financially weaker sections of the society. 

CMR University Cutoff

The varsity gives admission to courses offered by it on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the last qualifying examination or entrance exam score, depending on the programme. CMR University cutoff is the minimum marks that candidates must obtain to take admission in CMRU. CMR University cut off is released by Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K). The cutoff is released on the official website of COMED-K and it is released in multiple rounds. After every cutoff candidates are given 3-4 days time to complete the admission process.

The university not only focuses on the placement of students but also on the holistic development of the students. CMR University has a dedicated placement team for conducting placement drives at the campus. The CMR University placement team comprises faculty members and students.
