Difficulty level - The difficulty of the JEE Main, GUJCET, GATE and CEED entrance exams is believed to be one of the primary elements in the determination of the cut-off. If the paper is straightforward, a high cut-off is predicted. While the estimated cutoff for moderate or hard papers is lower.
Total number of applicants - The JEE Main, GUJCET, GATE and CEED cut-offs are also based on the number of students taking part in the entrance exam. The rise in applicants will help in determining the cutoff will be high.
Availability of seats - The JEE Main, GUJCET, GATE and CEED cut-offs are also determined by the number of seats. If the number of seats is higher, the cut-off will be low, while the JEE Main, GUJCET, GATE and CEED cut-offs are high for less amount of seats.
Previous year's cutoff trends - The JEE Main, GUJCET, GATE and CEED cut-off patterns of the previous year make it possible to evaluate the cut-off for the current year.
