The placement cell focuses on the overall development of the students and organises pre-placement training programmes for the students. DHSGSU Sagar placement cell is responsible for organising various events and activities for the students to improve their skills and give an insight into the industry working culture. The placement cell organises workshops and training sessions for technical, aptitude, verbal and soft skills. DHSGSU Sagar placement cell has set up a startup cell to encourage students to share new business ideas and begin their career with it. The placement cell organises group discussions and guest lectures on various topics and upcoming job opportunities and different career options available for the students of Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar.

DHSGSU Sagar Placement Process

• Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar placement cell invites companies and organisations to the placement drive. 

• The invited companies organise a pre-placement event where they give an insight about the companies working structure, job description to the students and take up queries from the students based on the company and sectors in which companies are working.

• Interested students have to submit their CVs to the DHSGSU Sagar placement cell for the further placement process. 

• Students are shortlisted on the basis of their CVs by the organisations.

• Organisations who participate in the DHSGSU Sagar placement drive begin their selection process which includes a written test of the selected students, group discussions and personal interviews of the selected students.

• Final selected students will be offered jobs by the organisations.

According to NIRF 2021 data, for DHSGSU Sagar placements for UG (3-years courses) & PG (2-years courses) programmes. Out of 628 UG students, 135 students were placed. For the PG programme, out of 301 PG students, 46 PG students were placed in organisations from Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar. A total of 90 UG programme students and 20 PG programme students opted for higher studies after completion of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes from Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar. The median package for the UG students was Rs. 2,25,000 and for PG students it was Rs. 3,50,000.
