IIITDM Kurnool placement cell focuses on nurturing the Industry-Institute-Interaction and collaboration with numerous corporate houses and industrial entities to provide better career opportunities to students. 

The Placement cell also establishes state-of-the-art in-house training programs to enhance the skills of the student raising their employability, communicate with various reputed organisations/companies to conduct Internship and Placement drives, to fulfil the career aspirations of the students and in turn gathers the feedback on curriculum improvement from the collaborative organisations/companies to ensure that the student becomes quality Engineers in the coming future. 

IIITDM Kurnool Placement Cell follows a rather particular method to conduct its placement drives: 

Stage 1 - Inviting Companies for recruitment and discussing the details of the drive. 

Stage 2 - Organising a detailed introductory for students to provide them with required training to crack the interviews and tests to grab their dream job. 

Stage 3 - IIITDM Kurnool placement cell issues notice to provide information to students about the companies visiting campus for placements and other required details such as filling forms, stages of interviews, Venue and time. 

Stage 4 - The visiting companies conduct on campus interviews and group discussions during IIITDM Placement drive to test the knowledge of students, if they are suitable for the further role in the organization or not.  Based on the candidates performance in the selection process they are judged by assessors. 

Stage 5 - The results of the selection process of IIITDM Kurnool Placement are informed to the respective department as well as displayed on the official website of the IIITDM Kurnool. 

In 2018-19, IITDM Kurnool placement cell organised its first placement drive since its establishment, with 72.2% of the placements from more than ten companies as the recruiters. Some of the top recruiters were PayPal, Wipro, Shriram Value, and Gavs Software. 

With 26 final placements and 45 summer internships, the highest salary recorded was Rs. 10.5 (Approx.), and the average salary was Rs 4.77 (Approx.).
