Engineering is an ever-growing field of education in our country. While most applicants opt for the traditional way of attempting the entrance examination for the first year of admissions into the institutes offering B.E./B.Tech courses, there are plenty of alternatives too. One such alternative is a lateral entry
The most common admission procedure for B.Tech lateral entry is entrance examination. Various states, private institutions and deemed to be Universities conduct entrance examinations to provide admissions to those candidates who meet the B.Tech lateral entry eligibility criteria. Along with passing the entrance examination with the required merit, the candidates are also required to meet the specific eligibility for B.Tech lateral entry which will be released by the respective authorities.
Still there is a suggestion, keep yourself updated with the information available at their official website.
I hope you are doing well.
A government college is unquestionably better than a private college based on its name alone; it has value in terms of its name and other factors.
As a National Institute, it will almost certainly receive a permanent campus. The Ministry of Housing and Rural Development has already approved funds for its construction. However, it is possible that the campus will take 5–10 years to complete.
I hope this helps.

Both the institutes you have mentioned are one of the best institutions in India. Now if you wish to compare then I would recommend you to go for IIIT Jabalpur. The reason behind is solely based on the placement ratio and packages. IIIT Jabalpur have a much better placement compared to that of IIIT Pune although trends are ups and down for IIIT Pune but in an average the scenario is IIIT Jabalpur.

IIT Pune is a better option in all aspects be it faculty, infrastructure or placements. In a study, it is also found that Pune is the second highest paying jobs city and as it is growing tremendously, it has offered great placements. The faculty is better here as the teachers are very helpful, qualified and supportive. IIT PUNE has also excelled in sports and curicullar activities. It is an amazing institute.
I hope this helps,
All the best.
Here I would rate iiit pune as a better institute as it is older with respect to iiit sricity so iiitsricity will require time to make its position in the industry which directly affects how a company sees a particular institute also you have mentioned not to consider location buut it is but obvious that iiit pune does have a location advantage that helps in placements in iiit pune the average package was about 14 lakhs and in iiit sricity it was 12 lakhs so the difference is visible hence choose wisely
Here I would prefer to join nit andhra pradesh as it has better course cirriculum and focusses more on research which ultimately improves the academic level of nitap also the placements here are better if you compare as a whole although with iiit pune you might get the location advantage but overall looking at placements academics and other factors I would suggest you to join NITAP so choose wisely.
Hope you are doing well
According to reports ,Last year the institute shifted to its new campus on Saswad road, but it's own new campus has been allocated which is about 100 acres and the construction has began by the Central Public Works Department, it may take 1-2 years.
IIIT Pune currently sharing Campus with Trinity Academy of Engineering near Bopdev ghat, pune which is nearly 15 kilometers Pune railway station. Campus is pretty good. But many facilities are not provided for which we are paying fee like gym, wifi(very poor connection even it is provided).
IIIT Pune currently runs in Trinity college of engineering and Research, Pune because It doesn't have its own campus. Food of mess and canteen is average, no wifi is there. The library is there. Living spaces are hygienic and cleaned regularly.
Our college infrastructure is normal like any other college, it runs in Trinity college of engineering and research. I am glad to be a part of this college. The hostel are good, mess food is also good, wifi facility will soon be implemented.
