About IIIT Pune
Indian Institute of Information Technology Pune is an Autonomous Institute of National Importance under the Parliament Act. The institute offers three levels of programmes. The IIIT Pune courses include 9 B.E/B.Tech, 2 M.E/M.Tech, and 4 Ph.D. Before applying for the IIIT Pune admissions the candidates should appear for the relevant entrance examination such as MHT CET/JEE Main/GATE/UGC/CSIR NTA-NET- JRF. IIIT Pune currently sharing Campus with Trinity Academy of Engineering near Bopdev ghat, pune which is nearly 15 kilometers Pune railway station. Campus is pretty good. But many facilities are not provided for which we are paying fee like gym,wifi(very poor connection even it is provided).

College Infrastructure
IIIT Pune currently runs in Trinity college of engineering and Research, Pune because It doesn't have its own campus. Food of mess and canteen is average, no wifi is there. The library is there. Living spaces are hygienic and cleaned regularly.

College Infrastructure
Our college infrastructure is normal like any other college, it runs in Trinity college of engineering and research. I am glad to be a part of this college. The hostel are good, mess food is also good, wifi facility will soon be implemented.
which is better for CSE in IIIT pune or CBIT hyd?
Cbit Hyderabad is better than IIIT Pune. Mentioned below are the points of comparison between these two institutes:
- Cbit Hyderabad has received various good rankings from NAAC, NIRF and many other institutions whereas iiit Pune has not got such rankings.
- Cbit Hyderabad has highly experienced faculty with most of the teachers are having experience of 16 to 22 years. Iiit Pune faculty members have experience of less than 10 years.
- The placement percentage of CBIT is almost 100% where is the placement percentage of IIIT Pune is 90%.

PICT is a much better options because the difference between IT and CS placements in PICT is almost 0. All companies who hire CS students allow IT students to apply too. Now for those wondering about difference in Course structures between the two the IT 2012 onwards syllabus is much better and well structured . PICT beats all colleges of Pune including COEP wrt acads . So PICT IT >>>> IIIT Pune CS .
The college fee in PICT is 3.86 lacks for 4 years and VIT Pune is 7.20 lacks for 4 years. Infrastructure is more in PICT compared to VIT Pune. Round -3 JEE mains cutoff rank for PICT is 10984 and that of VIT Pune is 22518 for the IT branch. PICT Pune placements 2020 witnessed the highest package of INR 43.33 LPA . Over 115 companies participated in the placement drive. Over 351 male students and 203 female students were offered placement offers by top companies. The placement percentage of PICT has also increased to 84.06%

Teachers:
- All of the faculties of IIIT-Pune are Ph.D. holders from institutes like IIT KGP, NITs, and foreign universities.
- Most of the faculties of PICT are M.tech or still pursuing their PhDs.
Degree:
- Students get B.tech in IIIT-Pune as compared to a B.E. at PICT.
- IIIT-Pune's curriculum doesn't include subjects like Civil, Engineering Drawing, Mechanics, Mechanical, Chemistry which are of no use in the course of CSE.
Institute of National Importance:
- IIIT-Pune is like all the IITs, NITs, IIITs which is an Institute of National Importance( INI) which leads to a lot of Government funds and monetary support.
- Students who did their 12th from the MP board or others can receive a full tuition fee waiver for 4 years of their B. Tech since IIIT Pune is an INI.
Students think that PICT is old so it’s better and yes it’s been around for 20 years since PICT’s inception and it has developed whereas IIIT-Pune is just 2 years old and has the potential for tremendous growth.
