IIIT Surat Admission Process
Indian Institute of Information Technology Surat was founded in 2017. It is a young institution of a national importance. There are 20 IIITs in the country, Indian Institute of Information Technology Surat is one of them. It is developed by the Government of India with the Public-Private-Partnership. Presently, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) mentors IIIT Surat. The Indian Institute of Information Technology was developed to produce IT talent to cater the needs of manpower and contribute in the development of industry. The faculty of IIIT Surat is one of the highly qualified faculty to serve in the academia as it is mentored by National Institute of Technology with high teaching standards.
The institute provides mainly two undergraduate programmes in Engineering consisting of the disciplines – Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. The admission to the programmes is made on the basis of rank obtained in JEE Mains followed by JOSAA counselling. The admission to IIIT Surat 2021 will begin only after the completion of JEE Mains exam.

The admission to Indian Institute of Information Technology Surat is provided through JEE Main and JOSAA counselling. IIIT Surat offers admission in B.Tech. programme in two specialisations Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.
IIIT Surat Admission Procedure for B. Tech. Programmes
The eligibility criteria for the students to apply for the undergraduate technical programmes of IIITS are given below:

IIITS Admission through JEE Mains Entrance Exam
· Candidates need to appear for the JEE Mains Entrance Exam
· All the basic eligibility criteria should be fulfilled and available choices to be filled in during JOSAA counselling.
· The final seat allotment to the undergraduate courses is done through JOSAA counselling based on the institute’s cut-off and candidate’s marked choices
· The selected candidates need to submit required documents for the verification and pay the fee to lock their seats

The candidates to be admitted in IIIT Surat during the academic year 2021 need to submit the following documents for verification:
· Class 10 Marksheet/ Certificate
· Class 12 Marksheet/ Certificate (Indian nationals who passed the qualifying examination from Nepal/Bhutan or an institution abroad must bring their passport. Permanent address given in the passport will determine state code).
· JEE Mains Admit Card
· JEE Mains Rank Card
· Category Certificate (if belonging to reserved category)
· Photo ID Proof/ 12th Admit Card

I am student of CSE and IIIT boast of its curriculum it doesnt have subjects such as Chemistry and Engineering Drawing, also various Electives contain latest technologies such as Blockchain, Cyber Security, AR-VR etc . You can check intitutes website for more detail on curriculum.

IIIT Surat offers only two courses-CSE and ECE as its curriculum focuses mainly on IT sector. The syllabus of IIITs are regularly updated to cope up with the needs of the society. Important topics like- Artificial intelligence, Robotics, Machine learning and Web development are included in the syllabus. The syllabus of most IIITs are more updated than that of IITs.
I am obc female candidate. In Jee Mains exam 2022, I got 94.24 percentile and obc rank of 14,302. Can I get IIIT Surat CSE branch?

If we have a look at the cut-offs for Indian Institute of Information Technology, Surat for 2021, then the ranks at which the branches close are as follows:
Computer Science and Engineering: 21,541
Electronics and Communication Engineering: 27,087
According to this it might be difficult for you to get admission in IIIT Surat, however you may get these in the Special or CSAB rounds.

How is IIIT Surat in all aspects because there are many negative reviews on quora about it with proofs??
Hello Aspirant,
It is a relatively new college, hence there are low placements.
Newly, apprenticeships were furnished by the university. Internships from top firms like Google and Adobe happened and the biggest income package was around INR 30 LPA and the normal package was INR 6-7 LPA.
The university is operating under SVNIT. The hostel is similar to SVNIT. Infrastructure and food are present.
The lesson curriculum is evolved. The faculty is new but is good, helpful, and positive.
Overall, if you ask me it will be a better choice than NIT Surat.
