IIM Amritsar PG Admissions
The institute offers 4 courses at the postgraduate level. M.B.A in 3 specialisations and Executive M.B.A are the courses offered by the Indian Institute of Management Amritsar. IIM Amritsar M.B.A Admission Process
Students have to appear and qualify the CAT.
IIM Amritsar cutoff will be released by the institute.
Students who meet the cutoff can apply for the IIM Amritsar admissions.
Shortlisted candidates have to appear for a Personal Interview (PI).
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the PI, work experience, gender diversity and academic diversity.

IIM Amritsar Executive M.B.A Admission Process
Candidates have to appear and qualify the CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE.
Eligible candidates have to fill the IIM Amritsar application form.
Candidates who have not appeared in any of the above examinations need to appear for IIM Amritsar Admission Test (IAAT).
Further, the aspirants have to appear for a Personal Interview.
Students have to submit the documents and pay the Indian Institute of Management Amritsar fees to confirm admission.
IIM Amritsar Doctoral Course Admissions
Only 2 courses are offered at the doctoral level. Ph.D and Post Doctoral Fellowship in Management are the 2 doctoral courses. The duration of Ph.D course is 6 years and the duration of the Post Doctoral Fellowship in Management course is 2 years.

The CAT test is the initial requirement for admission to the IIMs. The Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview are the following phases (PI). The WAT and PI are the primary selection factors for admission to IIM MBA. They take place following the release of the CAT results. Candidates are shortlisted for WAT and PI if they fulfil the CAT cutoff. Final admission decisions are made based on a candidate's entire profile, which includes their CAT, academic, work, and category scores as well as their WAT and PI scores.
Look at the IIM's qualifying requirements below:
- The minimum graduation requirement for admission to an IIM is 50% overall, or an equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST, and PWD/DA categories).
- Candidates who are taking the bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification test in their final year or who are awaiting their results may also apply.
- The candidates must satisfy the IIM shortlist/qualifying cut off in order to be called for an IIM interview.
- The minimal IIM call cut off must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for interview calls and to take part in WAT/GD-PI.
So, you are eligible to apply for CAT to get into IIM.

Keeping in mind, both K J Somaiya Institute of Management, and IIM Amritsar both are really good colleges, in my opinion, IIM Amritsar would be the better option.
Though K J Somaiya's Highest package(26.5 LPA) is more than IIM Amritsar's(25.21 LPA). IIM Amritsar's average placement(14.63 LPA) is better than the other(10.59 LPA).
Also one of the most important quality you get in an IIM is it's brand. There is no doubt that IIM Amritsar has a brand much stronger than the other.

Iim amritsar cut off is 80 percentile and iim shillong 75
Based in CAT 2019, IIM Shillong and IIM Amritsar has released the cutoff list for admission into academic year 2020-22.
IIM AMRITSAR has 85 percentile as cut off for general category along with sectional cut offs. Furthermore, unlike other IIMs, IIM Shillong does not release the overall cutoff of CAT.
