IIM Calcutta conducts a two-stage process for shortlisting candidates for final admission. In the first step of IIM Calcutta admission, candidates are shortlisted based on their CAT score and in the second stage shortlisted candidates have to appear for the Personal Interview and Written Ability Test.
The candidate's cumulative score is calculated considering the factors like a personal profile, academic qualifications, CAT score, and so forth. Previous year IIM Calcutta gave more weightage to Personal Interview with 48 points.
Common Aptitude Test or CAT cutoff is released by various B-schools and IIMs on the basis of CAT score. The cutoff of CAT may vary from institute to institute. B-schools shortlist candidates on the basis of sectionals and overall cutoffs. Factors affecting CAT cutoff are:
The difficulty level of the exam
Reservation policy of IIMs institutes
Previous years cutoff trends
Marking schemes of the CAT
Lowest and Average marks scored by the candidates in the exam
Total number of applicants and seats offered by the IIMs institutes
The infrastructure is superb . It is a complete value for money, that feeling is very very superior . It being the oldest doesnt let us feel that even for the second .It is truly said that old is gold.
Academic block is well maintained, with centralised air conditioning. Has a mic and speaker for teacher to be clearly audible to students. There exist multiple chill-out spots for students, most loved one being the Jetty. There is a separate 3-star accommodation to cater to dignitaries, and parents visiting students.
One of the hostel has great infrastructure, but the old hostels have really poor infrastructure. The academic block is really good. Wifi is really poor, however LAN is good with intermittent disturbances.

Hi there
Among the best Asian business schools, IIM Calcutta stands out due to its emphasis on balancing academic rigour and relevance and retaining plurality and variety in form, substance, and technique. Some of the best academics India has produced in recent years have called it home. IIM C, however, does not provide a Bcom programme.
Dear aspirant,
As you have secured 94 percentile in cat 2021 and considering you are from sc category so let me tell you that the cut offs depends on various factors like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
So accordingly the dynamics gets changed every year so you have the chances to get into this college as per the previous year trends.
