The institute offers admissions to a total of 7 courses, among which 5 courses are offered at the PG level and 2 courses at the doctoral level. IIM Ranchi admissions are offered only to students who meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the university for each course. • Candidates seeking admission in M.B.A. programmes must fill and submit the CAT application form.

• Applicants will have to appear for CAT.

• The qualified students with a valid CAT score will be shortlisted.

• The shortlisted students then have to appear for the PI round.

• Depending on their performance in the PI round the candidates will be selected

• The Profile score of these candidates is calculated.

• The profile of the candidate is calculated based on the academic profile, work experience and diversity of the student.

• Based on their performance in the PI round, CAT score and Profile score, the final selection of the candidates will be done. 

IIM, Ranchi Executive PGPM Course and Eligibility Criteria

IIM Ranchi Executive PGPM Admission Procedure

• The students who want to enrol in this course should appear for the CAT Examination.

• If the CAT score of the students matches the IIM Ranchi cutoff, the eligible candidate has to fill the application form on the official website. 

• The candidates that get selected have to go through Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

• The final selection will be done on the merit list which contains all the marks of the examinations like CAT, WAT, PI, and Academic records.

• After the final selection, students have to visit the campus to get their documents verified and pay the fees.

IIM Ranchi Doctoral Courses Admission

IIM Ranchi Ph.D admissions are offered to 2 courses, i.e., Executive Ph.D and Ph.D Management. For admission to Executive Ph.D, the candidates must have a master’s degree/post-graduate diploma or B.Tech/4 years degree with 6.5 CGPA or equivalent  along with work experience of minimum 5 years. Students seeking admission in any of these courses must appear for CAT/GATE/GRE/GMAT/NETJRF and qualify the examination.

IIM Ranchi Doctoral Courses Eligibility Criteria

IIM Ranchi Ph.D and Executive Ph.D Selection Procedure 

• Students seeking admission will first have to apply for admission by filling the online application form.

• The students must appear for CAT/GATE/GRE/GMAT/NETJRF and qualify the examination.

• The students having a valid score in the entrance examination will be shortlisted.

• The score of the academic record and entrance examination score is considered for initial shortlisting.

• These shortlisted students will then be called for PI and seminar round.

• Students who clear the PI and seminar round as well will be shortlisted for final selection.

• Selected students will have to get their documents verified and pay the IIM Ranchi fees.

IIM Ranchi Admission Process for Post-Doctoral

The IIM, Ranchi Post-Doctoral programme includes research, publishing and will also be contributing toward the IIM, Ranchi community. They will be working as researchers. Applicants seeking admission in this course must have a consistently good academic record and should have demonstrated research potential and should not be more than 40 years of age.

• Selection will be based on demonstrated research skills of the applicants and only students who fit the research interests of resident faculty will be selected.
• Shortlisted candidates will be invited to campus to present their research before a final decision is made.

• These shortlisted candidates have to appear for the PI and presentation round.

Based on the candidate’s research skills and faculty research interest final selection will be done.
