Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur shortlist candidates for admission through CAP. Candidates seeking admission to MBA at the institute need to clear the cutoff for PI shortlisting. There is a separate cutoff for each category such as cutoff for general candidates, cutoff for OBC, cutoff for SC,ST, etc. Selected candidates are called for GD and PIs which must be intimated to candidates through email. Final selections are made based on the performance of candidates in all rounds including the academic performance.
The selection process at IIM Sambalpur consists of two stages - candidates shortlisted for PI and final merit list. IIM Sambalpur shortlists candidates for PI through CAP based on CAT score. In comparison to 2018, there was an increase in the IIM Sambalpur 2019 cutoff. For the General category, the overall cutoff was raised from 90 to 95. For other categories of candidates, the cutoff remained the same. Check IIM Sambalpur 2019 cutoff (both sectional and overall)

As compared to IIM Sambalpur 2016 cutoff, there was no change in the overall cutoff for candidates belonging to the General category. For other categories, there was a significant drop. The IIM Sambalpur cutoff for the OBC category went down from 80 to 65, for Scheduled caste it went from 60 to 50 and for both ST and PwD category it went from 60 to 50. A significant drop was seen in IIM Sambalpur cutoff for those who belong to the General category as compared to 2015. It went down from 96.30 to 90. Apart from that, slight changes were also observed in the cutoff for other categories.

The infrastructure of the college was average, considering it is a management college. The library is good with a but low number of books. The classes are equipped with projectors and Air conditioners to give a comfortable surrounding for study. Moreover, there is a central library in the institute which is open 24/7.
Wi-Fi was not good in the hostel but not in campus. Labs classroom and Library were well developed and have everything that require for the students. Mess food was that great but the infrastructure was good not too big campus and lawn was always wet so no place sit during the free lecture so don't have many options. Overall average infrastructure.
The infrastructure of IIM SAMBALPUR college is average. Our campus is not so big. All the facilities like washrooms, classrooms, and library are available but sports facilities and Wi-Fi are not available properly. Hostel rooms are average. Students have to face many problems regularly.

No, the CAT cutoff varies. Generally candidates belonging to reserved category are lower than those belonging to General category.
CAT Cutoff range of newer IIMs can be 90-95 percentile for those who belong to the General category.
Each IIM determines cutoff criteria for MBA admission individually. Authorities make cutoff criteria on the basis of previous year cutoff trend, number of applicants, number of seats and so forth.
