The infrastructure of our department is not up to the mark. Labs need to be well-maintained. The college has many departments, some of which have extremely well-maintained buildings. On the contrary, some departments have been in bad condition for a long time. I think all the buildings should be maintained in the same way without bias.
The teachers are the best in their fields. Most of them have worked on very good projects and done good research. Their teaching quality is very good, and they focus more on the areas where research can be carried out.
The placements were not the primary concern for many students in the college. Most of the students were interested in higher studies, but the trend is slightly changing. Many students are interested in working. Our department has bad placements. A few companies offered low salaries, so the students who got selected rejected the offers. The faculty members provide very little help, and the rest has to be done by the students.
My guide is so supportive and helpful.
You don't need to worry about the infrastructure of the college. People are responsible and have been working on it. You will find growth in yourself. Every facility is available at low prices. If you have any problem, people are always present to help you.
The faculty members have the best knowledge of their respective fields and modest at the same time. They will even clear the silliest doubts of students. They work really hard, sometimes, more than their students. The course curriculum might seem too basic (after you complete it), but you will need to learn on your own which will help you attain autonomy.
Best in industry placements are offered to the students. The median package stands at 20 lacs per annum to 35 lacs per annum. Companies like google, microsoft, meta, and sony visit our campus. The highest package was 92 Lacs when I was graduated. Different companies ranging from meta, google, pay u etc. Offer internships to our students with stipend of 50k to 1 Lacs.
Best college
IISC Bangalore has the best infratructure among the colleges in India. Being one of the oldest colleges in India, it is maintained in such a great way that it seems new. All the facilities and equipment for the conduction of research is available here.
I am pursuing Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering and will get a ph.d degree in the year 2026. Till now, the experience of academics ghas been awesome. Curriculum gets updated on a regular basis and contains all the recent developments in the field.
The quality of placements is very nice. The average package offered is around Rs 28 lakhs per annum and the highest package secures is Rs 85 lakhs per annum. Placement process is very fruitful and supportive at the college.
The facilities are excellent. Our campus has a very peaceful and pleasant environment. Sports events are also conducted here. The campus is well maintained and is huge. There are many parks also inside the campus. Classrooms are very good and hostel services are also provided here. The WIFI service is provided all over the campus.
The faculty members here are very cooperative. They are very helpful towards us. Every teacher has good experience in their own respective fields. Some faculty members are even part of some types of big research projects. The college curriculum are relevant which is totally based on new education policy.
Almost 85% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered varies between 15LPA to 19LPA. and lowest wad around between 8-10LPA. Top recruiting companies visits our campus for placement drives.
College infra provides a positive environment for the students . Campus of occupied by proper equipment and facilities of the student . Classrooms are filled with all the basic tech support even laboratories and library.
academics of the college and basic knowledge of the engineering of the college is the best in India. faculty of the college is really helpful in terms of the research and provide all the help to the students
Placements of the college is the best provided the internship to the students. Package of the college is above the basic and promise 100% placements to all the students.Alumni of the college also provide help.

The research labs at IISc are really good. I think they were very well maintained as compared to my UG college. It was quite a big step up for me in terms of equipment and library access. The food is quite decent and has multiple cuisines to choose from. The hostels are really good but it is really hard to find a room vacancy.
The faculty are mostly into research work and mostly good at teaching too. Some of them can come off as not so approachable but they are quite nice. I have access to a wide variety of literature here since the research is interdisciplinary in nature. I am setting up for my doctoral research here.
IISc is more of a research institution and it is mostly for those seeking to pursue scientific research as a career. The institution does not directly give us any placement assistance but we do get recommendation letters to apply to eminent labs in India and abroad when we are ready to move on from here. The faculty are quite helpful in that regard.
The expenses aren't too much and they do give a very reasonable stipend once you're accepted here. I think for the kind of research experience and facilities I have access to, I find it very much worth the money spent to be here.
The campus is extremely beautiful and very safe 24x7. There are guards at all the gates and the premises are kept extremely clean. The student body is quite diverse and I got to meet quite a few people from different parts of the country who are now my friends. There are frequent workshops and training courses held here.
I love being here.
Hello,
Hope you are doing great.
Answering to your question,
Initially, there is no distinction in terms of value and scope between these degrees. Both M.E and M.Tech offer similar prospects and future opportunities, just as B.E and B.Tech do.
M.E is a course-based master's degree, considered a highly respected and recognized academic qualification. To be eligible for M.E, candidates must have successfully completed a B.E/B.Tech degree.
M.Tech is a two-year postgraduate program designed to provide students with essential practical skills complemented by sufficient theoretical knowledge to foster their development.
Hope this helps!!

Certainly! Moving from a two-year M.Sc. in Zoology to a Ph.D. in Biotechnology at IISC Bangalore is a feasible path, but it necessitates thoughtful planning. Your M.Sc. should cover key subjects like genetics, molecular biology, and biochemistry, with potential additional coursework or research experience in biotechnology-related areas.
Admission to IISC Bangalore's Ph.D. program is highly competitive. Academic performance, research experience, and publications will play pivotal roles. Successfully clearing the entrance examination and interview is also part of the process.
Establishing connections with faculty members or researchers in IISC Bangalore's biotechnology department is advantageous. Building relationships showcases your dedication and interest in biotechnology research, potentially strengthening your application.
Despite the challenges, if you're passionate about pursuing research in biotechnology, the transition is worth exploring. It's a journey that demands dedication, a solid academic background, and a strategic approach.
