IISER Bhopal Placements - Salary Trends, Highest, Average & Median Salary, Top Companies

The Institute Career Development and Placement Cell helps students in achieving their career objectives based on their interests and inclinations. For this, the cell organises various activities to help the students find the right career paths by organising training sessions and programmes, career workshops, guest lectures by notable individuals from the industry and academia etc. As per the data available on the official placement portal of IISER Bhopal- 87% of the BS-MS students of the batch 2013-18 were placed (job/internships) after completing their course from IISER Bhopal. According to the IISER Bhopal placement report for 2018-19 (data taken from NIRF report), for undergraduate courses, out of 141 eligible students for placements, 29 were selected and offered job offers with a median salary of Rs. 7,50,000 after completion of their course at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal  (IISER Bhopal) in 2018-19.

IISER Bhopal Placement Procedure

The Institute Career Development and Placement Cell takes charge of all the placement activities and is responsible for conducting smooth placement drives.IISER Bhopal follows a systematic procedure for IISER Bhopal placements which is as follows:

• Step 1- Students representatives of the Institute Career and Development Cell (ICDPC) send invitations to companies a few weeks before the IISER Bhopal placement season. 

• Step 2- Companies that are interested in IISER Bhopal placements must fill the JNF- Job Notification Form.

• Step 3- JNF and other important information such as job descriptions provided by the companies are given to students.

• Step 4- Interested students can register themselves with ICDPC and their resumes are made available to the concerned company.

• Step 5- Companies share the updated list of shortlisted students based on their resumes to IISER Bhopal IDCPC.

• Step 6- ICDPC then shares the campus recruitment dates with the companies.

• Step 7- The final list of selected candidates are provided to the ICDPC at the end of the session. Offer letters to the selected students are offered within the next three weeks.
