IISER Pune Placements

The Career Development Centre (CDC) is the cell that assists IISER Pune students in their career planning, job search strategies, locate opportunities, internships, career exploration and related opportunities. IISER Pune placements are carried out by the Career Development Centre of the institute. The CDC aims for the overall development of the students and to shape their careers. The main objectives of the Career Development Centre are: provide full-time job and internship in campus opportunities to students who are seeking job opportunities and to guide students to prepare them for the world of work.

IISER Pune Placement Process

Step 1- The Career Development Centre sends invitations to companies for IISER Pune placements.
Step 2- Interested companies can directly contact the CDC through an email to cdc@iiserpune.ac.in
Step 3- Interested recruiting companies must fill the JNF- Job Notification Form.
Step 4- Students must register themselves with CDC for IISER Pune placements.
Step 5- Companies taking pre-placement talks on the IISER Pune campus.
Step 6- Screening of the applicants based on their applications and resumes and list of shortlisted students being shared by the companies to the institute.
Step 7- Acceptance of offer letters by the students.

According to historical tendencies, you should.

This year, it will depend on how well students perform generally and the extent to which the increase in seats has an impact (this year, 75 percent of seats shall be filled via the SCB channel). That will ultimately determine which IISER you receive.

But in my opinion, with a score of 124, you should surely get admitted to IISER Pune.

I am getting IISER Kolkata in first round of seat allotment through scb channel, my gen rank in IAT 2022 is 1253 and ews rank is 54 can I get IISER Pune in next round?

Dear Aspirant,

It is quite hard to predict the exact situation as it depends on the number of students willing to take admission in the college and the seat matrix of the college.

There are 200 seats in Pune and about 20 are reserved for EWS candidates.

Going by this trend we can say that you have a good chance of getting into Pune campus in further rounds.

Keep in mind that Pune is one of the most preferred branches of IISER and hence is highly competitive so there might a lower chance of people dropping the seat in Pune.

So, please be prepared to go to IISER Kolkata as well.

To secure a seat in any of IISER, you must score 83-85 but the level of difficulty can be unpredictable. The questions keep on changing along with the pattern of the exam. Seeing the cut-off trends of the previous 3 years, a score above 105 will be enough to secure you a seat in 1st round itself.
