    About IIT Kanpur

    The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur was established in 1959 by the Government of India. The college offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses. Kanpur Central Railway Station is the closest railroad station. It is situated 17 kilometres away from the campus. Nankari Chandale Gate Bus Stop is the closest bus stop.     IIT Kanpur Placements

    IIT Kanpur has a Students’ Placement Office (SPO) that acts as a facilitator for all the placement and recruiting related processes. Student training, resume shortlisting, infrastructure arrangements, hospitality, conducting screening tests, scheduling and conducting job interviews are the various services provided by the institute SPO in coordination with the Career Development Cell (CDC). Some of the activities of Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur placement office include assisting students for internships, organising training for interviews and coordinating recruitment process for graduating students through campus placement drive. SPO also maintains contact with various corporate sectors in order to provide good career options for the IIT Kanpur students. For IIT Kanpur placement recruiters are invited on the campus.     IIT Kanpur Scholarship

    The college offers a variety of scholarships to the candidates who are in its campus. IIT Kanpur scholarship wants that none of its students should be kept void from the renowned institute joining due to the problem of finance lacking. IIT Kanpur offers several IIT Kanpur scholarships for various courses such as B. Tech, M. Tech., M.B.A., dual courses, Ph.D. However, if the student behaves in a manner that is not acceptable academically or other means than the fellowship that is offered to that particular student will be taken back by the institute as per the institutional and scholarship rules. IIT Kanpur scholarships that are offered by the government of India, IIT Kanpur alumni, corporations/ industries can also be availed by the students.     INSPIRE Scholarship

    A research grant that amounts to Rs.20000 along with an annual scholarship of Rs.60000 that will be provided in two slabs of Rs30000 as per semester basis. Scholarships are provided to the Students of B.S programmes whose ALL INDIA RANK (AIR) 10,000 is as per requirement in the Common Merit LIST (CML) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics departments will be eligible for availing this scholarship. Students who apply for this scholarship must submit an undertaking to the SSPC on every semester basis for not availing any other scholarship. Those students who have availed or maintained a CPI of 6.0 are eligible for this scholarship as this is a scholarship that is merit based.

    Rs. 60000 and Rs. 20000 additional for research work.


    Merit cum Means Scholarship

    A full waiver in the tuition fees along with a pocket allowance of Rs. 1000 pm is provided to the student for the duration of the program. The recipients must maintain a score that is more than or equal to CPI of 6.5 because this is a merit cum means scholarship. Even if CPI falls below 6.5 but maintains above the level of 6.0 the student availing the scholarship will be eligible for pocket allowance and it will not be withdrawn. Parents income certificate needs to be submitted by the student to apply for this scholarship. Only those students who are from the class other than Schedule Caste or Schedule Tribe and whose annual income is less than Rs.4.5lakhs can avail the benefits of this scholarship.

    FREE-BASIC-MESS SCHOLARSHIP

    Students who belong to the category (SC/ST) and whose annual income of parents is less than 4.5 lakhs. Students availing this scholarship will receive free basic meal in the mess and a pocket allowance.

    SPORTS SCHOLARSHIPS

    A total of 20 scholarships in this type of scholarship is provided to the students who reflect leadership in activities related to sports on the campus which in turn leads to their growth, development and increased participation in various sport activities. The amount that is allotted to candidates is of Rs. 1,000/- given on a per month basis for 9 months to the students under this scheme of scholarship of IIT Kanpur. On the criteria of the display in Inter-IIT and other sports that are external and meets the excellence criteria will be taken into consideration.

    It is the aim of the institute to help its students in applying for various scholarships that are available externally. The Government of India (GoI) under The Prime Minister's Digital India programme, has created the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) for students across the whole nation to provide detailed information about various GoI scholarships and so that no eligible candidate is left out of not availing the benefit of such scholarships.

Over here the CPI of the last academic year (API) is computed solely on the basis of the last academic year.

    No student participation is required for availing this scholarship and all the necessary formalities regarding the scholarship will be taken out by the authorities in the institute. There are also many scholarships that are provided externally by State governments, government offices, industries at large etc. Information pertaining to the same is updated from time to time by the concerned related departments. A student who is willing to apply for such external scholarships must complete the formalities for such on his own and contact the SSPC for the formalities that is an essential requirement on the part of the institute to be done. Other scholarships that are also provided such as many Donors’ scholarships are presented by the SSPC. A student will automatically be eligible for these scholarships by applying for Merit-cum-means scholarship by submitting their respective annual Income Certificate of parents.

    Donor Scholarships

    The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur provides Donor Scholarships to needy and worthy students. A total of 115 scholarships are awarded for it. Students need to maintain a minimum CPI of more than 6.0 to avail the benefits of the scholarship. Later on this criteria may be relaxed to more than 1.5 CPI for mean calculation of students. If no one receives the donor scholarship in a particular year then the amount of such scholarship will be double of the amount in the next year for that scholarship.     ANIL AND RESHMA NIGAM SCHOLARSHIP

    It will be allotted to a candidate who is a student of the 3rd year UG programme of the department of Aeronautical Engineering in 4th year or the 5year course based on the criteria of MCM-Donor.

    ANITA AND SANTOSH MEHRA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

    It is provided to a candidate from a 3rd year UG student of the department of EE in the 4 or 5year programme on the criteria of the maximum CPI. Limit on TFAI is not taken into consideration over here.

    ANITA AND SANTOSH MEHRA SCHOLARSHIP

    It is allotted to UG students of the department of EE in 4-year or 5-year programmes on the basis of MCM-Donor criteria. Four scholarships out of which two are for 2nd year and remainder two for the students who are from 3rd year.

    ANURAG BARTARIA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    It is provided to a candidate who is Under Graduate from the department of MSE of any year in a 4 or a 5year programme, whose minimum TFAI amongst all other eligible applicants is highest, and the student who is not a recipient of any other scholarship from the institute.

    ARAKERE AND KAREN VASUDEV SCHOLARSHIP

    It is assigned to applicants from 3rd year students  of Under Graduation in a 4-yr or a 5-yr programme of Engineering department of Chemical on the basis of the highest CPI at the end of the initial two years.

    ARPITA MAHILA MANDAL SCHOLARSHIP

    It is provided to two girls who are the neediest UG girl students of any department in the institute for a 4 or 5year course that is based on central means of the MCM-Donor. At the end of 1st semester the accumulated CPI will be considered for the purpose of awarding the scholarships. 

    AVIATION DEVELOPMENT AWARDS

    It is provided to a 3rd year UG student in a 4 or 5year programme of the AE department. Names for this scholarship are recommended by the Head of Department, AE. Total of Two awards are provided.

    BABU RAM JAIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    It is allotted to a candidate of the 1st year Under Graduation from any department of engineering on the criteria of the lowest TFAI. The student availing this scholarship should not be availing any other fellowship.

    BALAJIT & NIRMAL DHINDSA SCHOLARSHIP

    It is assigned to a candidate from the1st year of UG course of the department of BSBE and later one award is provided to a student from the 2nd year UG of the department of BSBE on the basis of the CPI that is maximum achieved by the student. No limit on TFAI is considered. Preference is to be given to a girl student. Names of the students are to be recommended by the department of BSBE. Total Two scholarships are provided.

    BALASUBRAMANIAN AND VISALAKSHI SCHOLARSHIP

    It is provided to a student from Mechanical Engineering of 1st year UG course or department of CSE based on the maximum score that is obtained in JEE-AIR. A student who is elected in the process in first year will continue to get the benefits of the fellowship for the remaining duration of their programme of Under graduation, provided that they keep on maintaining the required score of merits as per MCM-Donor criteria that prevails.

    BGM KUMAR FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS
    (Three Scholarships)

    The below mentioned selection/eligibility criteria will be applied for awarding the scholarships for these three types:

    1. A student who is undergraduate from any of the year or department can participate,

    2. The Annual Income of the family from all the sources of the parents of the student should not be more than 1.5 lacs,

    3. Fellowship will not be provided to students who have qualified for tuitions that are free.

    4. A girl student will be getting first preference.

    BHAGWAN DAS KAPOOR MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor and has community services involved in it.

    BHAGWAN DAS SANGHI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    It is provided to a 2nd year UG girl student.It will be allotted to a girl student who is in the ongoing the under graduation in 2nd year in the Bachelor of Science programme of the Statistics and Mathematics department upon obtaining the maximum CPI at the period end of 1st year which also includes summer. After the branch changes have been executed in the start of semester 3 the fellowships to be allotted will be decided.

    BHUWAN AND INDIRA JOSHI SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor and has community services involved in it.

    BIMLAVATI AND NAWAL KISHORE KAPUR SCHOLARSHIP

    All those girl students who are doing under graduation in their 3rd year in a programme that is of total duration of 4 or 5 year of the CSE or the BSBE stream will be awarded the fellowship based on the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    BISHWANATH JHA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor and has community services involved in it.

    CLASS OF 1984 SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor and has extra-curricular activities involved in it Interview of the candidates are conducted if needed. Total of four such scholarships are awarded wherein one scholarship per batch is allotted of each year student from 1st year till 4th year and the 5th year students are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. A committee is appointed by the SSPC and the candidate who is eligible to receive the scholarship as per the MCM Donor criteria will keep on receiving the scholarship benefits unless and until they fail to meet the criteria of the MCM Donor criteria and in such cases the scholarship will be provided to the student who came second after the student who had been provided with the scholarship. 

    DILIP KOHLI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a girl student who is doing under graduation in the first year in a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the CPI at the first year end. If the student is able to maintain the CPI that is more than or equal to 8 for the total academic year than she will continue to enjoy the benefits of the scholarships. TFAI limit is not applicable on this fellowship

    DR. D. R. BHAGAT SCHOLARSHIP (CSE)

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 3rd year of a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor and also at the end of 2nd year score of CPI is taken into consideration.

    DR. D. R. BHAGAT SCHOLARSHIP (EE)

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 3rd year of a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor and also at the end of 2nd year score of CPI is taken into consideration.

    DR. GURUCHARAN SINGH KAINTH SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a girl student who is doing under graduation in the second year in a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the CPI at the first year end. If the student is able to maintain the CPI that is more than or equal to 6.5 for the total academic year then she will continue to enjoy the benefits of the scholarships for the remaining 3 years.

    DR. HARI MOHAN AND PUSHPA SRIVASTAVA SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 3rd year of a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor and also at the end of 2nd year score of CPI is taken into consideration.

    DR. K.C. SARONWALA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor and also score of CPI is taken into consideration.

    DR. K.P. GUPTA SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 3rd year of a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor and also at the end of 2nd year score of CPI is taken into consideration.

    DR. M. ANANTASWAMY AND VIJAYALAKSHMI RAU SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    DR. PRATEEK MISHRA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    It is allotted to a student who is doing Under Graduation from the department of Electronic Engineering on the criteria of the CPI at the beginning of the second year.

    DR. R.K. SINGHAL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 3rd year of a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    GOVINDA AND INDIRA SRIKANTIAH SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 3rd year of a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor and also at the end of 2nd year score of CPI is taken into consideration.

    GURU JI GHASHIT RAM SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor and also at the end of 2nd year score of CPI is taken into consideration. Total of two scholarships are awarded at the end of second and third year respectively on the criteria of the performance of the student at the end of that particular year. 

    HARISH AND SUSHILA CHANDRA SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 3rd year of a 4 or 5-year course from CSE or EE stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    IIT LONDON CHAPTER MCM SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a girl student who is doing under graduation in the second year in a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor. IITLC will be provided with three names and it will select the applicants who will be awarded the fellowship. It is to be noted that only those students will be eligible to take benefit of this scholarship who has not been availing any other scholarship alongside.

    INDRA DHANUSH AWARD SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from CSE or EE stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor. And including activities such as extra-curricular activities, debate/quiz, sports, cultural etc.

    IWA BONN SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from ME stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor. A total of three fellowships are awarded beginning from second year to fourth year. The candidate is not allowed to change the branch of study from ME to any other stream and if they do so their scholarship will be revoked. CPI of the scholarship holder must be more than or equal to 6.5. If the CPI  does not continue to be as required by the criteria of 6.5 then the student who came second at the time of awarding the scholarship will be presented with the fellowship.

    JASMINE & MOHIUDDIN'S SCHOLARSHIP

    The Statistics and Mathematics department suggests the name of the student to whom this scholarship is to be awarded and it generally iis offered to the student of M. SC 2 year programmes 2nd year students depending on the criteria of the CPI scored by the student.

    JAYALAKSMI SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a girl student who is doing under graduation in any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    K.N. SALUJA SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course department of CE based on the criteria of merit alone. A total of 8 scholarships are offered from which 2 are provided for students from 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year respective batches. Based on calculation of the CPI obtained at the end of each year. Only for the students who are still in their first year of CE course their marks of the semester 1 will be taken into account for the calculation of CPI.

    KHEM CHANDRA YADAV SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor. Total of two scholarships are allotted.

    KHEMCHAND MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    KINRA SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in ME that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor. The candidate is not allowed to change the branch of study from ME to any other stream and if they do so their scholarship will be revoked. CPI of the scholarship holder must be more than or equal to 6.5. If the CPI does not continue to be as required by the criteria of 6.5 then the student who came second at the time of awarding the scholarship will be presented with the fellowship.

    KUNTA JHA SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    LALIT KISHORE CHAUDHARY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    The Head of the department of ME nominates the name of the candidate who has done the best research in a competition that has been checked by the scientific journal. It is allotted to a student from the department of ME.

    LOGISTICS AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

    Total of 6 Students having specialization in supply chain management wherein at least 2 scholarships out of the total 6 will be provided to girl students of MBA from the department of IME. The Department Head of the IME has the authority to decide the committee that will have the power to nominate the students who will receive the scholarship. Also one company from the fellowship providing company will be also part of the committee. The criteria of eligibility is to obtain a CPI that is more than or equal to 7.0.

    M.M. HASAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 1st year of a 4 or 5-year course from EE stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    MAHABALA - RAJARAMAN SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 3rd year of a 4 or 5-year course from EE or CSE stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    MAHESH AND SASHI CHANDRA SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    MATHUR BROTHER SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from EE stream that is according to the criteria of the JEE-AIR. A student who comes from the background of a school that is not English medium and is also from the category that falls under the head of general is selected.

    MONA & PARAMJIT SINGH SCHOLARSHIP

    It is assigned to a candidate from the 3rd year of UG course of the department of BSBE and later one award is provided to a student from the 4th year UG of the department of BSBE on the basis of the CPI that is maximum achieved by the student. No limit on TFAI is considered. Preference is to be given to a girl student. Names of the students are to be recommended by the department of BSBE. Total Two scholarships are provided.

    MRS. SHANTI JAIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation from any stream of Engineering that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor and also the poorest student according to the income documents of the parents provided. Also students availing the scholarship should have not having any other ongoing scholarships. 

    NEERAJ KAPOOR MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 4th year of a 4 or 5-year course from CSE or EE stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor. CPI at the beginning of the 4th year is to be considered.

    NETA JI BALWANSINGH SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor. Total of two scholarships are awarded.

    NIRMALA & ASHOK KESHARI SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 4th year of a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    NITA GOYAL & ASHISH GUPTA SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor. A total of four scholarships are awarded for this purpose.

    NITISH THAKOR SCHOLARSHIP

    It is assigned to a candidate from the1st year of the UG course of the department of BSBE and later one award is provided to a student from the 2nd year UG of the department of BSBE on the basis of MCM-Donor criteria. The SPI at the beginning of the 2nd semester is to be considered.

    NS RAJARAMAN SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    P.D. MURTI SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 2nd year of a 4 or 5-year course from CSE stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in a 4 or 5-year course from chemistry stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    PROF. GIRDHAR GOPAL SHUKLA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 2 year course of M.Sc in Statistics and Mathematics that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor. Total of t0wo fellowships that is one for the 1st year and remaining one for the 2nd year student is allotted.

    PROF. NETARLAL KAPUR SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 3rd year of a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor. CPI at the beginning of 3rd year to be considered.

    PROTIMA GHOSH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in course from any stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    PSB PRASAD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the of a 2-year course in MSC from the department of Physics  or the department of EE for the 4 year or 5 year duration course.

    PUSPA GARG SCHOLARSHIP

    The Chairperson of the committee of sports recommends the name to the SSPC of the student who has been the best sports person incoming in the 1st year of a 4 year or 5-year course.

    PT. BALAJEE GOVIND HARDIKER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the of a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of lowest TFAI. Student who gets this scholarship should not be having any other fellowship.

    RAJNATH SINGH SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 4th year of a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of highest CPI.

    RAM PRAKASH CHOPRA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the of a 4 or 5-year course from engineering stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor. Student who gets this scholarship should not be having any other fellowship. Total of 4 fellowships are given wherein 1 scholarship each for the first four year batches. 

    RAM RAJENDRA MELHOTRA EDUCATION SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 1st year of a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of lowest TFAI. Student who gets this scholarship should not be having any other fellowship. A total of 3 scholarships are awarded for this purpose.

    RAMESH CHANDRA YADAV SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the of a 2-year course from M. SC stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor. A total of 2 scholarships are awarded for this purpose.

    ROMESH CHANDRA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 4th year of a 4 or 5-year course from CSE stream that is according to the criteria of maximum CPI at the beginning of 4th year.

    S.C. MEHROTRA SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the of a 2-year course from CE stream that is according to the criteria of the MCM-Donor.

    SAGNIK ASIS RAY SCHOLARSHIP

    It is provided to an applicant from the 4th year of UG course of department of BSBE on the basis of the cancer research by the student. Names of the students are to be recommended by department of BSBE.

    SANDEEP & VINITA AGARWAL SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation in the 1st year of a 4 year course from any stream that is according to the criteria on MCM-Donor.

    SARPANCH SALIK RAM KATIYAR SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a student who is doing under graduation of a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of maximum CPI. Total of 2 scholarships are awarded.

    SEEMA JAIN MEMORIAL JAIN SCHOLARSHIP

    Allotted to a girl student who is doing under graduation in the of 2 year course of M.Sc in Chemistry that is according to the criteria of the maximum CPI obtained.

    SENGUPTA GRANT

    The grant amount that will be provided in this scholarship is Rs.3500/- per month for 10 months in total that a student can utilise for the purpose of equipment, books and miscellaneous expenses that are needed to carry out activities related to research and the conditions that are required to fulfil the same are as below:

    Students who are from the MTech of Department Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering are able to get the scholarship.

    1. Criteria of the MCM donor has to be fulfilled by the student of the IIT Kanpur. For selection procedure approach that is means-centric on the basis of the MCM donor ranking is to be used.

    2. At the start of the MTech programme in the 2nd year this scholarship will be awarded.

    SHANTI AND RAMKISHORE SAHAI SAXENA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

    It is provided to a student from any department of 1st year UG course based on the maximum score that is obtained in JEE-AIR

    SKYLARK AWARD

    Allotted to a 3rd year or 4th year student who is doing under graduation of a 4 or 5-year course from any stream that is according to the criteria of any department based on logical implementation  or new initiative. A committee is appointed by the SSPC and the candidate who is eligible to receive the scholarship as recommended by SSPC.
