IIT Madras admissions are offered to a total of 111 courses. Students can pursue both offline and online degree courses from IIT Madras in several disciplines. Students have to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria to apply for IIT Madras admission. For IIT Madras admission to the B.Tech course, students have to qualify the JEE Advanced exam followed by a counselling process. For the M.Tech course, students have to appear and qualify the GATE examination. Aspiring students need to enrol and appear for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams.
Students must acquire an All India Rank (AIR) for counselling invitation.
Students must register for the Joint Seat Allocation counselling process (JoSAA).
During counselling, students must select IIT Madras as the institution of choice.
After selection, students must visit the institute to collect the provisional letter of admission.
Final admission will be offered after document verification and IIT Madras fee payment.

Enrol and appear for the JAM test that happens in February annually.

There are three rounds of admission.
First-round will be declared by the organising Institute and conducted in June. Each student is offered admission with the option.

I'm studying Integrated MA programme. My curriculum is very unique to that of engineering Department. What we study here is liberal Arts. The first two years at the campus might be hard but IIT Madras provides all the facilities you would need to get ahead. The classes here take only 4-5 hours and the rest 19-20 hours are to be spent helping yourself grow. You can study in that time, play any sport or take part in extracurricular activities.
Yes, it is possible for students to directly take admission in the program. They will be required to give an entrance examination which should be cleared with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks. Or they can join the foundation course and then apply for the degree program.
