IIT Mandi Placements - Salary Trends, Highest, Average & Median Salary, Top Companies

The institute has a Career and Placement Cell (CnP) that handles all the placement associated activities of the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi. The CnP consists of faculty members, placement officers and student volunteers. Every year, many companies visit the campus for IIT Mandi placements. Campus placements are beneficial for both the recruiter as well as the candidate. IIT Mandi successfully complete its placement drive 2021 with 81% of the registered and eligible undergraduate students getting placed. Companies that visited the campus for IIT Mandi placements include Yodlee, Ceremorphic, Qualcomm, Intel, CDAC, Jaguar Land Rover India, L&T, ACME, Marvell, Indeed, TCS, Samsung. Indian Institute of Technology Mandi recorded the highest number of offers- 142 extended to 102 students. CSE department recorded the maximum placements followed by the EE department. IIT Mandi Placement Process

Step 1: The placement cell performs the duty of a negotiator and connects the interested candidates with the organisation by sending invitations of the placement drive along with the placement brochure to esteemed companies and organizations. 

Step 2: The organisations who show interest in IIT Mandi’s Placement drive accept the invitation and confirm their active presence on the scheduled date of the drive. 

Step 3: The organisation will send the eligibility criteria required for the selection process, the designation of the candidate, CTC and other relevant details about the recruitment.

Step 4: The interested candidates will forward their resumes to the placement cell or directly to the organisation if they meet the required qualification and other eligibility criteria. 

Step 5: The organisation will conduct various rounds like Personal Interview, Group Discussion, Aptitude Test, Written Test, to check the suitability of the candidate for the post offered. 

Step 6: The candidates who are selected after clearing the interview process are hired by the organisation after meeting all the requirements. 

As per the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi placement report 2021 (phase 1 till December), 137 students have been placed. A total of 102 companies have participated in the placement drive. The Institute has seen a rise in the average salary by 13%, median salary by 16%, and maximum salary by 9%, as compared to the previous year. Till now, a total of 51 pre-placement offers (PPO) have been made to the students.
