Fellowships: Fellowships are funding programmes that are mainly dedicated to postgraduate students working in areas of research both at the Master and Doctoral levels. The fellowships require the students to avail tuition fee waiver in return for responsibilities such as assistantships.
Concessions: Concession is planned and made available mainly for students in reserved categories (SC/ST with) the following provisions:

Eligibility Criteria: The students eligibility where parental income does not exceed the limit prescribed by the Government of India and the gross income level is less than Rs. 2 lakhs per annum.

Merit-cum- means scholarship is offered to a quarter number of students (25%) enrolled in the programme. Bank loans are available and along with scholarships provided to people belonging to general and reserved categories. When scholarships are provided at the postgraduate level, it involves some duties to avail such benefits so that students can earn as well as learn. College is located in the center of the city with the college and the hostel facilities for all the students. Major students are occupied in the hostels which have the medical and playground facilities for the students.
The department is housed in a state of the Art2-storey building with adequate infrastructure and air conditioning classrooms the hostel infrastructure is also great. library is present in the campus with sufficient books. Sports facilities are also available in the campus.

Mechanical Engineering is one of the ancient and well-established branches in IIT Roorkee. The placement in mechanical is more than 72% with the rest of the population choosing for higher studies, CAT and UPSC. The average package in Mechanical Engineering is more than 10 Lacs.

IIT Roorkee does not accept NATA scores. Admission to IIT Roorkee is based on exams such as JEE Advanced, GATE, JAM, and written tests followed by interview rounds.

IIT Roorkee MBA fees for the academic year 2023-2024 are Rs 9,67,000 for two years including tuition fees, semester charges, hostel charges, deposits and mess charges. Interested candidates must satisfy the IIT Roorkee eligibility criteria and fill out the application form.
For IIT Roorkee admissions to the MBA programme, candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria.
