    IGNOU Admission 2024 - The Indira Gandhi National Open University has extended IGNOU January 2024 registration till February 29. The university has also extended IGNOU January 2024 re-registration process till February 29. Candidates can submit the IGNOU 2024 registration form for January 2024 session in online mode by visiting the official website - ignou.ac.in.  The Indira Gandhi Open University started the IGNOU January 2024 re-registration process on December 5, 2023. The IGNOU admission is conducted twice a year, during January and June session. Candidates can apply for IGNOU January 2024 registration and re-registration without any late fees.     IGNOU Admission 2024: IGNOU Eligibility Criteria

    Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Studies (BTS)

    Class 10+2 or its equivalent or BPP from IGNOU to be eligible.

    Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) (Revised)

    Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks for general category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PH categories.

    OR

    Bachelor’s Degree with Diploma (one year) in Library Science will also be eligible OR iii) Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of working experience in Library and Information Centre will also be allowed to take admissions into the course

    Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

    Class 10+2 or its equivalent or BPP from IGNOU to be eligible.

    Bachelor’s Degree Programmes (BDP)-B.A./B.Com/B.Sc.

    For B.A. – Candidates should have completed their 10+2 or its equivalent or BPP from IGNOU.

    Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme (BPP)

    Candidates need no formal education. They need to be at least 18 years of age.

    Bachelors of Education

    Candidates need to have a minimum aggregate of 50% in graduation and/or post-graduation in Sciences/Commerce/Humanity/Social Sciences. Candidates with a Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with a specialisation in Mathematics and Science with 55% marks or any other equivalent qualification.


    Along with the aforementioned qualification, candidates also require to be trained in-service teachers in elementary education. Or they should have completed a teacher education programme through face-to-face mode which is recognized by NCTE.


    There will be a relaxation of 5% in the eligibility requirements for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD categories. Relaxations will be given to Kashmiri migrants and war widow candidates as per the rules of the university.

    B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) (BScN(PB)


    Class 10+2 with a Diploma of three years in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with at least two years of experience in the profession. (Male nurses or nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM Programme should possess a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery).

    Candidates who have cleared their Class 10th (matriculation) or its equivalent with a diploma of three years in General Nursing and Midwifery with at least five years of experience in the profession. (Male nurses or nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM Programme should possess a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery).

    B.Sc. (Home Science) specialisation in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition.

    Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM)

    Category 1: Candidates who have done BTS/BA(Tourism)/B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration(BHM)/ Bachelor’s in Hotel Management (approved by AICTE)/ graduation in any field with a Diploma in Tourism recognized in the University system or by AICTE are eligible.

    Category 2: Bachelor’s degrees in any field are eligible, but they will have to pass four extra tourism foundation courses during the course of their study.

    IGNOU Registration 2024

    IGNOU has started the IGNOU January 2024 registration process on December 15, 2023 in online mode, with a deadline  of February 29. Candidates are required to apply for IGNOU Registration 2024 through the IGNOU registration portal - ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in and register themselves and fill their applications. The IGNOU registration fee can be paid using net banking, debit card, UPI or credit card.

    As IGNOU does not conducts any entrance exam for UG programmes ,and further I'm goona opt for B.A in Eco honours in IGNOU July session 2022. so that does means -- Am I not supposed to give CUET exam ?

    Admission to only certain courses in IGNOU is done through entrance test conducted by the university such as MBA/BSc Nursing/BEd etc, for undergraduate course admission as in your preferred subject you just need to fill in the form once it gets released, provide the required information, upload the relevant documents, pay the requisite fees,  and finally submit it, there is no entrance test regarding this, moreover as of now IGNOU hasn't stated that it will conduct admission to ug courses through CUET scores, follow the official website at ignou.ac.in to know more details regarding this.
