Institute of Advanced Research has a training and placement cell, which assists the placement process. IAR Gandhinagar Placement cell maintains relations with corporates and industries to keep the students updated about the current industry trends. The cell organises various seminars, symposia, guest lectures, industrial visits, workshops, exhibitions to train the students for placement. For Institute of Advanced Research placement, the training-cum-placement cell also provides placement training like communication skills, personality development, resume writing, writing letter of application, interview techniques, etc. Students have to meet the eligibility criteria first in order to register with the university placement cell. Undergraduate and postgraduate students should have passed all previous semesters examinations and Ph.D students should have submitted their thesis for being eligible to participate in the campus placement. • Students have to register with the Institute of Advanced Research placement cell. 

• They have to fill an online registration form, Expression of Interest (EOI).

• Registered students will get a Placement Registration (PR) number to access various notices, announcements and for uploading resumes.

• Companies are sent invitations for conducting on-campus and off-campus recruitment.

• Interested recruiters contact the placement cell with the details like job profile, CTC, number of vacancies and selection criteria.

• Students who have submitted their EOI can attend on-campus and off-campus pre-placement talks and interviews.

• In case, the companies have specific requirements of students with top 5% to top 20% academic record, then only those candidates can attend the interview.

• Companies conduct various screening processes to select the candidates.

• Selected students are given job offer letters/appointment letters.

• Students who have accepted the job offer cannot participate in other interviews.

• After that, students have to give their feedback to the IAR Gandhinagar placement cell.

• Those students who are not selected in three attempts, then they have to attend focused training sessions.
