Master of Philosophy in Chemistry is one-year duration full-time course and offered by Jain University, Bangalore. The M.Phil. Degree shall have the status of an intermediate Degree between the first Post-Graduate Degree and the Doctorate Degree. It will have both research and course components and will give the student an adequate background for advanced research.
Eligible candidates will be required to take up M.Phil. Entrance examination comprises Aptitude Test, a Subject Paper and an Interview.
Candidate should hold a Master’s Degree (from a recognised university) in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% (In the case of SC / ST candidates there will be a relaxation of 5%)
Candidates who are qualified for CA or ACS or ICWA with basic degree are also eligible to register for M.Phil. in this category
Candidates who have qualified for Masters Degree prior to 1990 - 1991, with no less than 50% marks are also eligible to register for M.Phil. programme
