M.B.B.S., M.D., M.S., D.M., M.Ch., B.Sc., M.Sc., B.ASLP, M.P.H., Ph.D and P.G.D are offered at the diploma, UG, PG and doctoral levels. These courses are offered in the streams of medicine and allied sciences, sciences, pharmacy, arts, humanities and social sciences. JIPMER admission to the M.B.B.S programme is based on the NEET scores followed by the counselling process. For other UG and PG programmes such as B.Sc./MSc/MPH/PBD/PGD/PGF, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research admission is offered on the basis of the entrance exams conducted by the institution itself. As per the JIPMER Puducherry admission policy, for Ph.D one has to qualify Joint CSIR-UGC NET for JRF/UGC-JRF/ICMR-JRF/ICMR-SRF/DBT-JRF/DBT-SRF/Inspire Fellowship/UGC SRF/CSIR-JRF/CSIR-SRF/DST-JRF/DST-SRF followed by viva voce exam. M.B.B.S, B.Sc and BASLP are the JIPMER courses offered at the UG level. One has to qualify for NEET UG in order to take admission to the M.B.B.S programmes.
