B. Sc. (Honours) Computing and Programming is designed to develop the knowledge and skills in computing as well as in programming to solve computational problems.The program will consist of theory courses to be taught by highly qualified faculty and state of the art laboratories equipped with modern computing tools and computer programming facilities. This program covers fundamental and core courses of mathematics, computer science including distributed computing, parallel computing and cloud computing, cyber security, data science, information system and security, computer networks etc. Summer training and internship, dissertation/project work enables learners to apply concepts and techniques learnt during the programme and will develop the communication, problem solving, team work and leadership skills to meet the requirement of the industries/organizations. After successful completion of the programme, students will be eligible for Data Scientist, Business Analyst, Software Engineer etc. profile in the various Information Technology/ Software Industries. Apart from providing excellent opportunities for higher studies, this programme develops skills for starting IT related start-ups/ entrepreneurship also.


Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have passed with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (55% for SC/ST candidates) in 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a single recognized board in Science Stream with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

Admission Details

(a) Admission will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test UGET (JIIT) conducted by JIIT Noida or CUET(UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

(b) A separate merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained in UGET (JIIT) and CUET(UG). The admission will be offered to the candidates as per the merit.
