Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) Solan offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Before applying for admission, candidates must ensure that they meet the JUIT Solan eligibility criteria. JUIT Solan B.Tech admission is done based on merit in the entrance exam or merit in the qualifying examination. The B.Tech entrance-based admission depends on the candidates’ performance in JEE Main However, merit-based admission to B.Tech is offered based on the performance of candidates in the qualifying examination.

For JUIT Solan M.Tech admission, candidates have to either appear for GATE or Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) conducted by JUIT. The GATE-qualified candidates can apply for admission directly while the non-GATE candidates need to clear Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET). JUIT Solan M.Sc admission is based on the candidates’ scores in the past qualifying examination. JUIT Solan PhD admission is based on a written test followed by a personal interview conducted by JUIT. Candidates with NET/SLET/UGC/CSIR (JRF) or equivalent national-level examination are exempted from the written test. Final admission is offered after verification of documents and JUIT Solan admission fee payment.

JUIT Solan UG Admissions

Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan offers a total of seven undergraduate programmes. JUIT Solan courses at the UG level include B.Tech and B.Pharma. The duration of JUIT Solan UG courses is 4 years. JUIT Solan B.Tech eligibility criteria is that the candidate should have passed the 10+2 exam with a minimum of 60% marks in the relevant discipline  from a recognised board.

JUIT Solan B.Tech Admission Process

• For the JUIT Solan B.Tech admission process, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria.

• Then, eligible candidates must complete the JUIT Solan application process.

• Candidates can get JUIT Solan B.Tech admission through two modes only- valid JEE Main scores and merit basis (marks obtained in 10+2 examination).

• For Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, 50% of seats are filled through JEE Main and the remaining 50% through merit in the qualifying examination.

• Shortlisted candidates have to participate in the common counselling process conducted at JUIT Noida for all its campuses. 

• Candidates are required to fill in their preferred choices and choose JUIT Solan as their preferred university for JUIT Solan B.Tech admissions.

• The counselling dates are updated on the official website of the university and the same shall be notified to shortlisted candidates through email only.

• The final selection will be determined by following criteria like choices filled by candidates, participation in the counselling, document verification and admission fee payment.

Note: 

• For admissions in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics programmes, 50% of seats shall be filled on the basis of JEE Main All India Rank and 50% of seats shall be filled on the basis of 10+2 marks with Biology/ Biotechnology as a core subject in 10+2 examination.

• For JUIT Waknaghat (Solan), 60% of seats shall be allotted through JEE Main All India Rank. The remaining 40% of seats shall be filled through counselling based on merit, drawn on the basis of marks of the 10+2 examination.

• 10% of seats at JUIT Solan are reserved for Himachal Pradesh (HP) category candidates who have qualified for their 10+2 examination from Himachal Pradesh.

JUIT Solan PG Admissions

Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan offers 12 postgraduate programmes. JUIT Solan courses at the PG level are M.Tech and M.Sc. The duration of JUIT Solan PG courses is 2 years. JUIT Solan M.Tech eligibility criteria is that candidates must have secured 60% or equivalent CGPA 6.0 on a scale of 10 in B.Tech/B.E/M.Sc degrees. However, JUIT Solan M.Sc eligibility criteria is that candidates should have completed B.Sc or any other relevant degree from a recognised university.

JUIT Solan M.Tech Admission Process

• Before applying for JUIT Solan M.Tech admission, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria.

• Then, eligible candidates must fill the JUIT Solan application form and pay the application fee.

• Candidates have to appear for GATE and in the case of non-GATE candidates, the university conducts an entrance test known as Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET).

• Candidates will be selected based on their marks scored in GATE or PGET examination.

• Candidates must get their documents verified and pay the course fees as the last step in the JUIT Solan admission process.

JUIT Solan M.Sc Admission Process

• For JUIT Solan M.Sc admission, candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria.

• Next, candidates are required to fill the application form available on the official website of JUIT Solan.

• Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination should provide marks of the qualifying exam along with the application form and attach a photocopy of the marks sheet. 

• JUIT Solan M.Sc admission is offered on the basis of marks of qualifying examination results. 

• Later, selected candidates will be offered provisional admission subject to the production of eligibility certificates and deposition of the academic fee.

JUIT Solan Ph.D Admissions

Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan offers seven doctoral programmes. JUIT Solan offers Ph.D programmes in seven specialisations. The duration of the JUIT Solan Ph.D programme is 6 years. JUIT Solan PhD eligibility criteria is that candidates should hold an M.Tech degree or equivalent for Ph.D in Engineering/Technology in the respective branch with 60% aggregate marks from a recognised university.

JUIT Solan Ph.D Admission Process

• Candidates are required to meet the eligibility requirement for JUIT Solan PhD admission.

• Eligible candidates need to fill the application form and pay the application fee.

• Then, candidates have to appear for a written test followed by a personal interview conducted by JUIT.

• JUIT Solan PhD admission shall be based on a written test followed by a personal interview of the shortlisted candidates only.

• The NET/SLET/UGC/CSIR (JRF) or equivalent national level examination qualified candidates are exempted from the written test.

• It is to be noted that each eligible candidate will have to give a short presentation before the interview committee in the area of research interest.

• The final admission is offered after verification of documents and JUIT Solan admission fee payment.
