Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering is four years (8 Semester) full-time undergraduate engineering program offered by JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur.

This department boasts of the finest Automobile labs in the country with dynamic models and engine testing setups equipped with variable compression ration testbeds. Established in collaboration with the industry, the Polymer testing lab is one of the few in academic institutions in the country and the only one in Rajasthan. Robotics and Automation are other key areas of focus for the department.

Students can specialize in : Automation & Robotics, Machine Design, Mechatronics and Automobile Engineering.

Admission Process

  • Submission of the application form with required details. 
  • The Admissions team at JKLU will then contact the applicant for counseling and interview, provided the applicant meets our eligibility criteria Merit-based assessment of candidates will take place, focusing on their attitude and aptitude, to help them benefit from the unique learning experience at JKLU.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST Candidates), with minimum 50% marks or equivalent grades in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the four optional courses (Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science) from a recognized Central/State Board/University Examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • Students appearing in the Final examination of 10+2 may also apply. 
  • Diploma holders (3-year Polytechnic programme) from a recognized Institute, with minimum 45% marks are eligible for lateral entry into 2nd year of B. Tech, in any programme of engineering offered at JKLU. 
  • The applicants are required to appear in one of the National level engineering admission tests, such as JEE or any other equivalent state level engineering entrance examination held in 2018. In case the candidate has not appeared for any National level engineering tests, they will have to appear in the JKLU Engineering Entrance Test (EET) to qualify for the programme. 
  • Foreign Nationals/ Persons of Indian Origin/Non-Resident Indian candidates can be considered for admission on the basis of their marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination only (taken not earlier than july 2018).

Very good College with good academics. Maintains a very healthy environment. Encourages students to participate in all kinds of social and cultural activities. Focuses on all round development of the students. JK Lakshmipat University invites companies throughout the glove to come and offer placement to Final Year students. It has been maintaining a 100% placement record since the first batch passed out. Overall, it is a college which can secure you a good future.

Batch of 2020 | B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
Infrastructure is good, although campus is not very big. Hostel rooms are good. Mess is as usual. The campus isn't crowdy. Labs are great. They have almost everything. Even MNIT Jaipur visited to help their students with lab. I think it's great for mechanics student if they want to do lots of project. Civil is also good. But if u r just worried about placement, join elsewhere. If you are good the college will get you placed.
