For admission to M.Tech programmes, candidates have to clear the entrance exam- Karnataka PGCET/GATE/University entrance exam.
50% of government quota seats of postgraduate programmes are filled on the basis of the marks scored in the Karnataka PGCET and the remaining seats are filled by management quota.
Candidates are shortlisted based on the marks secured in the above entrance examination.
Then shortlisted candidates have to take part in the counselling process.
If there are any unfilled seats then there is a University Admissions Committee which will conduct the interview and select the candidates for admissions.

Candidates should register and apply online for admission to the JSS Science and Technology University.

AICTE-Saksham Scholarship Scheme	The scholarship is open for differently-abled students who have a disability of not less than 40%. The students must be admitted in the first year or second year (through lateral entry) of a technical diploma/degree course at an AICTE recognised institution. The annual income of the family should be less than INR 8 Lakh from all sources.
AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls	The scholarship is open for girl candidates who have taken admission to the first year or second year (through lateral entry) of a technical diploma/degree course at AICTE approved institution/college. The annual income of the family should not be more than INR 8 Lakh. Only two girls per family can apply for the scholarship.
AICTE PG (GATE/GPAT) Scholarship	The students who have obtained qualifying marks in GATE/GPAT can apply. The students must have taken admission in the first year of ME/ MTech/ M.Pharma./ M.Arch. courses at an AICTE recognised institution/college. Having a general saving account is also mandatory for the students. Candidates pursuing part-time courses cannot apply.
AICTE-National Doctoral Fellowship Scheme	The fellowship scheme is open for research scholars. The minimum CGPA score obtained by the student in both BE/B Tech/B.Pharm. and ME/M Tech/M.Pharm should be 7.5 on the scale of 10 or 75% or above or equivalent. (Note: For SC/ST/PH candidates the CGPA requirement is 7.0 on the scale of 10 or 70% or above or equivalent). The student must have qualified the GATE/GPAT during the last 5 years. The age of the student should be less than 30 years as of the last date of the application. (A relaxation of 5 years is given to SC/ST/Women/PH candidates.
SJCE Alumni Scholarship	A student whose father is not alive. Economically backward category. Merit in 2nd PUC.
Chulabhorn Graduate Institute Post-Graduate Scholarship Programme	Under 30 years of age. Hold a bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 in the following fields such as sciences, medical sciences, pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences. Have experience in scientific laboratory research. Must have shown English proficiency, preferably on one of the two recognised tests of language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS).
Huawei Technologies Scholarship	The scholarship of INR 50,000 each will be given annually to students of second, third and fourth-year bachelor of technology courses.
