i am post graduate with 53% marks, but in graduation only get 40% marks, can i get admission in 3 year llb course

Hope you are doing well.

To get admission in 3 year LLB course, you need to get less than 45% marks. You have scored very less marks in your Graduation and to get admission in LLB course you have to apply for the CLAT Examination. CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test and this examination is conducted by 14 National Law Schools/Universities for admissions to their under-graduate and post graduate degree programmes LL.B & LL.M.

The last date to apply for LLB in KSLU without late fee was 20th November, and with a fine of Rs 1000 it was 25th November,

the eligibility criteria of LLB is passed graduation in any discipline securing 45% aggregate, in case of reserved categories there is relaxation of 5%, admission to three years LLB is strictly based on the merit of the qualifying examination,

1: What facilities are available at the Law School?

Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), Hubli offers certain facilities to the students, staff and faculty members including a library, sports, classrooms, guest house, auditorium, etc. Karnataka State Law University facilities also include separate hostels for boys and girls students with all the necessary facilities. The university also provides medical facilities to all the members to cater to the medical needs of the students. KSLU Hubli facilities also include a moot room so that students can practice their court sessions.

2: Does KSL University provide scholarships?

The university provides various scholarships, as per UGC and State government norms. Some of the scholarships are Wrangler Dr.D.C.Pavate Diamond Jubilee Celebration Scholarships, Prof.V.R.Bhat Endowment Scholarship

3: What are the KSLU result revaluation fee charges?

The KSLU result revaluation fee charges is Rs. 500 for each paper. The fees will not be refunded by the university. However if there is increase of marks in challenge valuation 50% fees will be refunded.

Candidates are required to bring the following documents at the time of admission such as qualifying examination marksheets, birth certificate, ID proof, transfer certificate, passport size photographs.

The KSLU offers various courses at UG and PG level. The seat intake in BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB is 120 seats in each course.The seat intake of LLB programme is 180 seats.

6: Can I check the previous year’s question paper of the KSLU semester exams?

Yes, candidates can check KSLU previous year’s question paper of the semester exams. The previous year question paper will help candidates to prepare well for the exams.

7: What is the reservation criteria at KSLU?

The university provides reservation to following categories - Supernumerary quota for students from J&K- 2 seats,5 % seats are reserved for kashmiri migrants, 8% seat reservation for candidates from Hyderabad-Karnataka, under Art. 371, 3% seats reserved for PwD candidates, 5% seats reserved for Gadinadu/Horanadu/Kannadiga candidates.

8: How is the faculty of the university?

The Karnataka State Law University has a total of 15 faculties on reguar basis. Apart from these they also provide guest lectures to their students. Most of the faculties hold PhD degrees and are well experienced in their respective fields.

9: Do they have an Entrance Exam?

No, the Karnataka State Law University, Hubli does not conduct an entrance exam . The admission to the courses will be based on the marks scored in the qualifying exam.
