KVASU Wayanad: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU), Wayanad was established in December 2010 by the Government of Kerala. The university is approved by UGC. A total of 49 courses across the diploma, UG, PG and doctoral levels are offered at this university. Different processes of admissions are prescribed for different courses at this university. The university also has a dedicated placement cell that manages the recruitment activities of the university. There is also a long list of facilities that the university offers for its students.

The university offers a total of 49 courses across the UG, PG and doctoral levels and this also includes 2 postgraduate diploma courses as well. Out of the 49 courses, the university offers a total of 2 UG courses, 22 PG courses and 25 doctoral level courses. The courses list includes B.Sc., B.V.Sc., M.S, M.V.Sc., P.G.D and Ph.D courses. The fee structure for M.Sc. course is Rs. 3,00,000 and M.V.Sc. course is Rs. 83,200. Candidates seeking admission must meet the eligibility criteria for the courses of their choice.

KVASU Wayanad Admissions

Candidates seeking admissions in the courses at KVASU Wayanad must apply by filling the online application form from the official website of the university. Admissions to the B.V.Sc Animal Health programme based on NEET scores and to the B.Sc programme based on the merit of the entrance test followed by a round of counselling. For M.V.Sc. admissions, candidates have to appear for an entrance exam followed by a round of interview and for M.S admissions, only entrance exam is required. Candidates will have to appear for an entrance test which will be followed by an interview round for Ph.D courses.

KVASU Wayanad Placements

KVASU Wayanad has a Placement Cell that oversees all placement-related activities. The placement cell ensures that most of the students get placed in reputed organisations with good salary packages. The cell also provides training in soft skills, personality development programmes, workshops, and active participation of all stakeholders to its students. The placement cell invites reputed companies to its campus to conduct the interviews. According to the KVASU Wayanad placement data of 2022, a total 35 students got placed from the PG (2 year programme).

KVASU Wayanad offers various infrastructural facilities for students and staff members.
