KUK Kurukshetra Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

Kurukshetra University offers hostel facilities to its students. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. Students admitted to the hostel must follow the rules and regulations of the hostels. Chief Warden takes charger of the supervision. At present, the university has 25 hostels out of which 11 are for boys students and 1 for foreign male students. The total capacity of the hostels is to accommodate 2700 boys.

Girls hostel offers facilities for outdoor and indoor sports. Also, the hostel has recreation facilities such as TV sets etc. In total, 13 hostels can accommodate more than 3000 girls students. All the hostels are well equipped and offer hostel facilities such as a gym, a common reading hall, an ATM etc.

The university has a health centre that takes care of all the medical needs of the students, staff and their family members. All the medical facilities are provided such as computerised ECG, X-Ray, ambulance facility. The university has 65+ doctors on its panel to offers free consultation services.

A well-equipped gym is established by the university on the university premises. All the machines are modern and students can join the gym to keep themselves physically active.

KUK library is well established, located at a central place in the middle of various departments and maintained with a vast collection of books, journals, and international journals. The best place for students who love to read and to find answers to all the academic questions. The library has various sections such as registration, periodical, internet services, technical, reference and offers open access to its books and periodical collections.

The university offers various sports facilities to its students so that they can have a healthy and fit lifestyle. KUK has two multipurpose halls. The new one is equipped with workout machines, gymnastic equipment and mats of Judo, wrestling etc. The university has various courts for sports such as basketball, volleyball, tennis etc.

The IT infrastructure of the university is well-maintained with computers in all departments. The computers are installed with the latest software and are connected to high-speed internet.

A cafeteria is a place where students can go and take a break from their day-to-day chaos. Healthy and delicious meals are provided at a nominal price at the university cafeteria to students, faculty and staff members.

An auditorium is a venue for all the cultural events of the university. The auditorium has modern audio and visual technology, accomodating a good amount of people at a time.

The university offers transport facilities to its students. At present, there are 08 buses, 01 van and 11 cars. Also, the University provides free internet bus service to girls and physically challenged students.

The University has Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

Each department of the university has its laboratories. All the laboratories are well equipped and maintained for the students to research and experiment so that they can gain practical knowledge.

ATM facility is available at the university campus. Students who want to withdraw money don't need to go outside as they can use this facility on the campus itself.

The guest house facility is available for students' family members who come to visit the campus. A dining facility is also provided in the guest house.

The university has a swimming pool on the campus. Students who wish to learn to swim can avail the facility. Training is also available at the university.
