Maharaja Agrasen University was established in 2012 by the Maharaja Agrasen University (Establishment and Regulations) Act and started offering the academic programme in 2013. The campus of the university spreads over an area of 19 acres of land. MAU Solan is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The university is also recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan has adopted five villages to identify and provide solutions to the villagers. The vision of Maharaja Agrasen University is to be a globally recognised centre of excellence with the mission of creating competent professionals to serve the society and the nation.

Various diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level programmes are offered by the university. Maharaja Agrasen University offers D.Pharma, B.Pharma, B.Com, B.B.A, B.C.A., B.H.M.C.T., B.Com (H), B.Com, L.L.B, B.A. L.L.B, B.Sc. Non Medical, B.Sc. Maharaja Agrasen University Facilities

Numerous facilities are provided by the university.
