I am studying BA LLB (Hon.). I was very interested in the subject of law as it has an impact on society and gives a guiding light for the modernization and helps in maintaining the balance and peace in the society. Yes the curriculum is updated in every year and includes all the development in the field. There are classes for the students interested in judiciary and extra credit courses are conducted from time to time from third year itself. Also foriegn language course is also provided.

Have a question related to MNLU Nagpur ?

which is a better option , MNLU Nagpur or NMIMS mumbai for law?

    Hi Archana.

I would give you the  clear information and difference of both college MLNU and NMIMS.

MNLU Nagpur also known as Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur is established by Maharashtra government. This university has 28 Research centers that offer Courses, Conduct Seminars, Conferences and Training Program. Its also inked with MoU's and Collaborated with following Institutions for student exchange programs.

    • National Law School of India university, Bangalore.
    • NLU, Delhi
    • The Tata Institute of Social Science, Mumbai.
    • Gujarat NLU.
    • NLU and Judicial Academy, Assam.
    • Rajiv Gandhi NLU, Punjab.

Common Entrance exam of MLNU and NMIMS is CLAT examination (Common Law Admission Test). Since MNLU is government Institution, Reservation are available for CLAT Cut off ranks. As MNLU Nagpur has established in the year 2016, So no Placement cell is available still. Few students were offered internship programs this year.

NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Science) is private institution and Top Law University in India according to NIRF. Common entrance for Law admission is CLAT examination. There is no reservation system available in this university, Admissions are done based on merit rank basis in CLAT examination. Companies that hired many Law students are listed below.

    • Advani & Co.
    • ALMT Legal.
    • ANM Global.
    • AURUS Legal.
    • Edelweiss.
    • Future group.
    • GMR.
    • Deloitte.
    • Barclays.
    • Voxlaw.
    • Veritas Legal. etc..

Many students got placed and Offered internships as well.

So comparing both colleges NMIMS is best for Law studies, But only if you have secure good rank in CLAT exam. or else if you fall under reservation category. you can opt for MNLU, Mumbai rather than nagpur division. Best advice is to get a good rank and get admission in NMIMS, Mumbai. Hope you find this information helpful. All the best for admission.

    Thanks & Good Luck!..
